I don't get the problem with Xbot either. It's one of those things that is meant to be a put-down but in reality doesn't actually mean anything.

Maybe the issue wasn't on PC at all. I played it on Xbox 360.
GenuineGamer the difference is not just 280 pixels. It's more than 500,000 in total.
1920 x 280 = 537,600
A full 1920 x 1080 image has over 2 million pixels (2,073,600), whereas 1920 x 800 is just over 1.5 million (1,536,000).
Calling it 800p is misleading, but so is calling it 1080p.
I guess from a purely technical standpoint it is 1080p, but a little over 1/4 of the screen never renders anything but black.
All Brink really needed was
1) Solid netcode - The lag was terrible if you had more than 6 or 7 people in the game for some reason.
2) A damn lobby - Their decision to not implement a traditional lobby or party system resulted in making it a horrible test of patience trying to get in the same game and on the same team with your friends.
Otherwise the game was really fun.
There is no way they scheduled the conference to talk about one single game, no matter how big that game may be.
I would imagine will get a bunch of different stuff first... Doom, Dishonored, etc...
Then they will drop the Fallout 4 bombshell as the big finale.

My ps4 is in rest mode and I haven't used it for 6 months. My xb1 is in standby or turned on at all times, I've got a PC in the house that does nothing but house my music collection for my Sonos speakers to access and it's never turned off, etc, etc...
I don't have the time to be turning things completely off and booting things up from scratch constantly.

I know people that spend more time watching TV or movies than I do playing games, but I'm still "wasting my time" in their eyes.
People seem to forget that part of the reason for the large size and the boxy and "open" design is because the console is designed to be on far more than the 360 was.
It's meant to be on basically all the time with the TV functionality and everything else...
