@nitrowolf...as much as allowing access to games you bought would be absolutely awesome, it would never happen. Backward compatibility via emulation really only cost MS money in its development. For Sony to allow you to stream all of the games you bought would mean they are basically letting you use the PSNow servers for free to at least some extent. This now means they are going from having made money on those games, to losing money on them while taking away a great bit of incentive for ever...
@Archangel...Sony has a lot of momentum, and I wouldn't faint if they still take this holiday...not one bit would I be shocked. But either way, I think we can all agree that MS should be in line for a pretty impressive holiday themselves. Personally I think it is gonna be huge, but who knows.

Crazy numbers. Factor in these things: Sony is selling at this rate and xbox one is still able to sell at a better rate than did x360. Sony will surely have a huge holiday. MS is in line for what should also be a big holiday (potentially very huge as well). So just taken as a whole, along with the fact that the wii U has sold a bit better as of late...I'm pretty sure anyone who is saying consoles are dead is likely brain-dead themselves.
I'm sure this game will put up strong numbers. I would bet on it. But I am very curious to see if it will really move some consoles the next couple of months. If MS really is gaining any momentum and if Halo is still as big as it once was, you would have to figure MS should at least be able to over take PS4 in Oct. maybe Nov. But with how much momentum sony has gained, I really do wonder if even Halo can make that happen.

I see what they mean though. As far as video games go, no other SciFi franchise has ever been so popular and influential on both the hardcore and casual alike. It has aslo made its way into pop culture to some degree. Plus much of what the series introduced has become the standard going forward and the lore is deep and had spread into an impressive collection of books etc.

With dedicated servers, in general, when someone leaves it does not automatically affect everyone else. The dedicated server IS the host. That is why the connection is so much more consistent and that is also why things like host migration are not needed. Look, neither console is truly "cutting edge" when compared to top-tier PC tech and I personally do not feel that the "power gap" between X1/PS4 is as large as some will make it out to be (but it surely it very real). But what does any of that have to do with dedicated servers?

Yea man, this game is pure awesome all around. So fun and the MP is so balanced and smooth. Working great at launch too! 9/10 easily IMO. MP 10/10.
@4ShOw, this game took me forever to download as well. Like stupidly long. Next time it is disc for me or at least I should preload it a couple days in advance. Well worth the wait man.
Yea I like this move. Once you get used to the game you are playing 30 or 60 can both work...but there is zero question that 60fps is a big deal in MP. I think it is the biggest deal in an FPS, but really any shooter. So I personally like this move and I would bet my right foot that 9/10 wouldn't even know the res difference if no one told em.
I'll be honest, I know GG is very talented, but I have not really been into their games in the past. This game looks like it is gonna just be on a whole different level. Not only does it look insane visually, it looks really really fun. Can't wait for more details on the gameplay. 2016 is gonna be huge. Gears 4, Horizon, Uncharted 4,Quantum Break, just to name a few.
Dude say what you will. If you look at my comments, I generally favor xbox as it is my "main" platform. But I have always been disappointed with the install/download times on the xbox one and it seems to be getting worse. Again, the only proper comparison I have is that on my PS4 I get games in several hours average. All my consoles are wired and I have a quality router. Overall, I spend lots of time/money making sure I have quality equipment. Home Theater and video games are my hob...
Well I have Optimum in NY area. I know the downloads are 50mbps. I rarely see it hit that when testing but usually can see at least 30. Also, my uploads usually land somewhere near 20.
I have been meaning to call customer service because I get the sense that for the last few months I've been slower than normal. But that's something I noticed months ago. Meanwhile, I was able to download the UC Collection in a few hours no problem. So I have to suspect this is an issue...

Couldn't agree more. I tend not to be the hardest on games with this kind of stuff, but if I play Halo 5 and don't feel the story has been done justice I'm not gonna just pretend. I think it is smart for Phil to want to try and take the focus away from sales and try to just let the games/improved UI etc. do the speaking. Either way I highly doubt he gets the end say in how MS will present its earnings and I really don't think this is a good idea, at least in the eyes of gamers. I'm sure MS has some smart people behind what they do and maybe this is a good call from some business perspective, but I don't like the message it sends at all.

well, "matters a lot" might be going a bit far, but if so many people care this much..than yea, I guess it does matter. I'm sure the game still looks good. I'm not picking this up anyways, but since I wouldn't play with others I would prob get this for my ps4. TBH, I'm just a little surprised just how much people still build this up to be.
