There’s some awesome titles in here. VR is finally getting some meat on its bones.
Thanks to greedy publishers pushing for GameKey Cards and Nintendo giving in to the demand. It’s important to remember that Nintendo has committed to all 1st party releases being available on a full physical release.
I’m not surprised by this at all. It’s never about gamers. It’s always about bonuses.
I can’t wait. I’d love to have all of the SteamDeck controls on a dedicated gamepad. The only addition I’d like is regular rumble feedback motors in the grips.
Hell has frozen over. Halo is on PlayStation, Sonic is on Nintendo. Mario is… on cell phones.
So the article makes a snippy entitled statement and acts like that is going to encourage a publisher to give them what they want. Okay.
Valid point. However it’s derivative art, not a product being sold and not related to an actively retailed IP that this free mod project would impact in any fashion. Why not let fans have fun instead of sticking up for the mega-corp conglomerates that absorbed the now dead IP?
A non-upgradable PC running Windows. What could go wrong. It’s going to be pretty sad losing dedicated console optimization. Maybe SEGA will decide to return to the market once Microsoft abandons the space.
Heck yeah. Time to fire it up.
This is pretty unfortunate. One key reason why physical is superior.
Judging by all the downvotes I’d say they’re still full of Sith hate for the game and any comments that praise it, lol.
It’s actually a great game on Switch 2. I wish it came on a cart so I could save some of that internal storage, but other than that it’s been a lot of fun. Thanks Ubi.
I feel the same way about my OLED Deck. I play everything on it. I have a PS5 and Switch 2 for exclusives but for the average game that’s multiplat I just buy on Steam and love it. It’s changed how I game. I’ve always got it with me when traveling for work and it doubles as a great little PC as well with Desktop mode.
Well there goes that huge library of IP. This isn’t as bad as what Microsoft did buying up so much of the industry IP to hoard and stifle it, but it’s close when I look at just how many different series this will likely impact.
Oof.
Almost all 3rd party games are on those crappy GameKey cards. I refuse to buy them. It’s pretty clear publishers are the ones that forced Nintendo’s hand on that solution, and try to nudge consumers the rest of the way into Digital Only. Full fat physical releases were a big reason I bought a lot of 3rd party games only on Switch, and sadly it looks like that will continue to be the case for certain games.
Cool. A step in the right direction but it’s still fairly bloated with typical Microsoft filler. I’ll be sticking with SteamOS for the foreseeable but happy to see MS working to compete in the space.
It is very good on Switch 2. It runs and looks great and it’s a lot of fun.
The gameplay is still top notch for a TPS. The added graphics make it modern. The bar on this type of game hasn’t been raised enough since then to warrant docking it down to a 5. It’s just silly. Clearly the clickbait works though.
I’m almost 10 hours in and I love it! I’ve been mostly playing solo and it’s great not having to squad up unless you want or need to. It also runs excellent on SteamDeck. The sound design, risk/reward and enemies are awesome. Awesome game for almost half the price of BF6.
