Lol. "Nor do they need to".

Okay because yeah.. the console maker on top doesn't need to try harder. Consoles have demonstrated such brand loyalty as to make that such a clearly truthy-fact-like statement.

Man, the crying never stops.

It's a different platform. Nintendo didn't offer freebie upgrades for Wii U Breath of the Wild, did they? Why should Sony be held to a higher bar?

Wow. Nice SDF desperation post.

Well... they are.

Unquestionably, MS will position their multiplat titles with deals that place them prominently in other stores, net them large returns, etc.

Gamers will see it the same, but the business behind the scenes will favor MS. MS makes more money from each copy of Android sold than Google does, thanks to patent licensing -- ponder that for a moment.

In the end, they don't care whose brandname you buy. They care about making money from the transaction. Al...

Microsoft bought Zenimax, not Bethesda -- Zenimax owns Bethesda, and everything associated. Your perspective is a little off.

Microsoft made every dime they spent on Minecraft back, and then some... and it's still going.

I have to wonder if Bethesda doesn't have something pretty amazing up their sleeves, and I doubt MS will change them.

If you actually read my post, you'd realize I was spot on. I stated that every iteration of Sony's console, going forward, would effectively be BC, and that "PS5" was really just a label.

Thanks for reading.. or not, if you just peruse titles, like the typical N4G reader.

I was also correct about the timing -- the console is nowhere near as big an upgrade as previous gens. "PS5" is really just a label given to an advancement ...

If you want HDR, you can buy a cable. Presumably you already have one, if you own a HDR TV...

Why should MS hike the unit cost, for an accessory not everyone even needs?

Keep in mind that $5 * 10 million units is $50M.

0 - 4 million is still 0. You can't go negative with production.

If you downvote me, and a lot of folks will, you have to promise to come back and upvote me when Sony announces they aren't shipping this year, k?

I mean, lets face it. They aren't in a good spot to sell an inferior device at the same price point as MS. They would be *smart* to wait for production at 7nm to get a little cheaper, and then come in swingin' at $450 next year....

It's better than the PS4 Pro, so I'd say that makes it next gen, no matter that it's just a foot in the door. The CPU stomps the PS4 Pro, and everything else is better to at least some degree.

Remember the PS4 slim defines this gen, not the Pro.

2006d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Ridiculous. The CPU is the ONLY measure of what a game can be, in a generation, outside of outrageous memory differences (most of which is toned down when you use is). Toning down GPU usage is CAKE, and developers have been doing it for DECADES on the PC. MS is, in no way, "hampering" this gen by releasing a two consoles BOTH of which have bigger CPUs than the PS5.

Wait, why does this article claim the COD:MW remake is 200GB? What is that, with literally every piece of DLC? Also, why are we comparing apples to.. conjecture? Desperate much?

TBH I would be shocked if the PS5 digital was not a smaller chip than it's big brother. No one will buy a console which is $450, and downgraded to bring all digital, in comparison to a $500 big brother. To cut the price further, and not lose literally *hundreds of millions* of $$, you woul...

Actually I only play Minecraft in VR on PC these days. It's totally comfortable, if you activate all the various comfort options you personally need. If you turn them all off, then sure, you're gonna be sick. That's on you though, not a game that lets you do whatever you want.

Set it up like Skyrim VR (plus it has a cool push-forward-to-use-stick-stee ring-wheel option, which is great and comfortable), and you'll be fine.

I backed this one day 1 -- I almost felt like the big check to be a NPC would be worth it, but I backed down. This game will be legendary.

That's what the article said.

Yup, XCloud is an actual streaming service. PSNow is a "we lack BC, so if you want to pay extra you can BC, but only if you already paid us for a PlayStation and are sitting at it" streaming service.

Lol why would anyone choose to pay to stream BC when they can have it for free without burning bandwidth and playing in laggy condition?

You have no idea what XCloud is, do you?
