Basically, it works, but doesn't really make anything look better over PS4 Pro, and loading time improvements are mild.
This isn't the up-rezzing and FPS improvements of Xbox Back-compat -- it's just a straight "it works on both" solution. I guess they couldn't get God of War running over 1080p, and it's only "almost" 60 fps in performance mode? The PS4 Pro hit 40 in the same scenario. Over 100 games have a "may have issues on...
How old is Shadow or Mordor now?
Folklore was top 5 RPGs of the PS3/360 era. Maybe Top 3... and we'll never see it again.
This list is terrible, because it doesn't include MAG.
Warhawk? Resistance? Come on. Those were not great games. Well okay Warhawk was mildly fun.
@NEXUS-6
It's upscaled. There's no resolution change...
More guesswork from nonsensical so-called "journalists", just like the sale of 77 consoles "analysis" that predicted the PS5 was outselling the Xbox by a 72% margin, because both sold out, and the retailer had ordered 72% more PS5s.
Don't click this article folks. These journalists are scum, looking for hits, and providing no real info.
@Chevalier VGM doesn't sell hardware. They use retailer data. It's sad that I had to explain that to you.
Only 15% of the 511 -- that's 77 people are actually used in the "72%" statistic. That means 55 PS5s, and 22 Xbox. Since the crossover was 30%, that means 19 of the Xbox were sold to people who *also* bought a PS5.
So, the real question is, did those 3 remaining Xbox sell fast, or slow, relative to the 36 remaining PS5? Also... wow is that a tiny sample. I'll bet it was basically the same, and that this study is basically pointless. 3 Xbox probably so...
No because it would still be a bogus study. If it "favored" Xbox, I would still "whatever" it, because bogus data is the enemy of all actual scientists.
VGM does not sell consoles. They used retailer data. If it was more than one retailer, with a whopping 77 consoles sold, then the study is truly a cherry-picked disaster.
If you do the math, you can see that 77 consoles sold -- 55 PS5, and 22 Xbox.
You can see from the math that 30% of the purchases were dual purchases -- the buyer bought both. That means that most (actually 19? if I did the math right?) Xboxes were sold at the same time as PS5, and then only PS5 was left. That leaves only a couple independent purchases of Xbox to even factor in.
The study is totally meaningless
This retailer had 77 consoles to sell, and all 77 sold.
The retailer pre-determined the percentage. You could argue that the retailers interest (which will be based on PS4 : Xbox one sales, btw) is higher at this time, but to glean info about consumer interest, you'd have to study the rate at which these consoles sold, until one was gone.
It's entirely possible that the Xbox sold out first, and everyone else resorted to purchasing a PS5. In fac...
Yeah, exactly. So the retailer ordered fewer xbox consoles. And there's the real statistic.
The retailer ordered 55 PS5s and 22 Xbox They sold 55 PS5 and 22 Xbox. Big news! PS5 outsells Xbox at a retailer, because they ordered more PS5s! Lol
A 3-day study, of 511 buyers. Hmm. And 15% of those buyers were able to actually buy a console... So 77 people.
And they chose the disc version over digital?
Kinda suspect. Or so says statistics 101... anyone who has taken a basic statistics course knows those numbers and samples are way too small to represent anything serious -- particularly if it was samples at a small number of retailers (or just one). The sample dates could even have a huge influen...
Yeah, wow. Really stoked for PS5 now.

You're not supposed to say they look similar! You're supposed to be awed by the power of PS5! You cannot even stand to look at last gen garbage!

Lol no.
It's one of the BC titles. That's all it means.
PS5 digital won't be as available as the disc version -- this is already a known fact. It's probably sold at a loss, so trying to sell more, before it becomes cheaper to make, is sheer business stupidity, and Sony isn't.
Sony is probably hoping folks will break down waiting for the digital, and dish out the extra $$ for the disc drive, so Sony can then break even, while the production process improvements make the digital version to produce without a loss. Fra...
Keep in mind that Microsoft has a whole team dedicated to BC tuning, and Sony just does enough to get them going.
Much like the difference between nVidia and AMD GPU drivers -- nVidia tunes theirs to be customized for each game. AMD... doesn't. That doesn't mean AMD cards are bad -- they are great for the value. They just don't get the software love that nVidia cards get, so, in the end, nVidia always looks better.
