It's not Rockstars fault that some people expected LA Noire to be GTA'ish, when it clearly never was meant to be.
It does amazing it what it was meant to be, which is solving cases, interrogations, reading peoples facial expressions/body language etc, gathering evidencse.
It was NEVER meant to be GTA 1970, so it shouldn't be looked as one.
IMO I applaud Rockstar/Team BOndi for this. WIth all these FPS etc, releasing somethin...
So what if it does? People play games for gameplay/story etc, not graphics.
Take Yakuza 4 for example. That was pretty much a high-res PS2 looking game, yet I enjoyed it immensely. If it was a full blown PS3 graphical game, it would not have made any difference, as the gameplay is the same.
I'll be getting the PS3 version for the extra DLC, but those that wonder why some people would opt for the 360 version even if they own a PS3 as well. There are some people out there that prefer the 360 controller a lot more and adds to their enjoyment of the game.
I myself enjoy the 360 controller a little bit more, but it doesn't out-weigh the free extra content, other people are different.
Controller makes a world of difference to some.
So in other words, it interrupts you while gaming yeah great..I go into a game to play a game, not to get interruptions during gameplay to 'chat'.
I was hoping for "Microsoft acquires some exclusives" but oh well.
DS3 and 360 controller are tied IMO. Both have pros/cons.
One question though.
People say 360 controller is only good for FPS. How are TPS any different? The only difference is 3rd person.

It's a shame A LOT of that '165' are crap games, therefore they don't count.
Quality > Quantity.
PS3 has many more QUALITY exclusives.
Reminds me of Uncharted, yet look how great that game is.
Hide under cover + shoot enemies -> next section +hide under cover + shoot enemies + climb a bit - rinse and repeat.
Uncharted 2 improved but was still damn repetitive gameplay wise, yet it got GOTY.
I just find it funny when people say Game A is too repetitive, as if its something new. :)
The success of a console is based on quality games and sales, not "more" powerful hardware.
Hopefully Wii2 focuses on the 'quality games' aspect better then the Wii did. It got the sales part right :)
smart move since UC3, Skyrim releasing in that time frame. ME3 now possibly 2012 GOTY :)
I ended up pirating this game due to the amount of bugs and the developers being to lazy to fix them.
Just so you know, I buy 99.9% of my games. In this case, no. Why should the developers get my $$$ if they want to SAVE $$ by not testing it properly?

Please tell me enemies don't scale with you in Skyrim? I would rather have it so they are on all different levels, much more fun that way.
Example: You discover a dungeon and go in and find that the enemies are way to tough (possibly great treasure in there too), so you come back later, once you've gained a few levels so your stronger.

No they don't. Crysis is prove of that. I remember playing it ages back on maximum settings. For the first 30 minutes, it was nice looking at the nice graphics, after I got over it, the boring, dull gameplay ahowed.
I didn't even complete the game, got so bored.
I think that's proof enough.
Aslong as the graphics aren't PS1 level (lol), it really makes no difference.

Am I drunk or does it say SONY running out of ideas? Seriously? THey are pretty much the only ones out of the 3, that are pumping out new IPs and great exclusives.
I guess you can't say Microsoft are running out of ideas, since they have hardly any exclusives to begin with..
Hang on, new Halo coming out, and Gears "3" and Halo CE Remake. Yeah great new ideas coming from Microsoft.
ANd that is why I have my doubts on next-gen console hardware.
We already have high-end PC hardware, yet there is not 1 PC game, that truely shows anything amazing.
It's either a bad/average port, or just the same game with better graphics.
How about developers, assisted by the HW, improve on the creativity and innovation of games, to enhance the gameplay, instead of using the HW to enhance the aesthetics.

I am all up for next-gen hardware now as long as we see developers take advantage of it and show their creativity.
I really am doubting developers though. Look at PC. Same games, just better graphics. Same game.
If theres one group of developers that can make something out of new hw it's Sony's 1st party studios like Naughty Dog.

Yup pretty much same myself, though I may notice the differences if they are pointed out (example Lens of Truth site). In the end, I don't care, as it makes no difference, as still playing the same exact game.
I don't care for the differences and I don't even look for them, as I am too busy playing the game, then to look at pixels.
These 'differences' are only used for fanboy wars, but in the end, makes no difference when playing.
