Will it have CORE games and I don't mean 1 or 2? If yes, then it will be interesting
If it's full of casual/kiddy stuff like Wii, then it has no chance.
The only way Wii:U has a chance to win is if they start entering the CORE gaming market. How can they win something if they aren't even gearing towards the same market?
Damn not very ergonomic at all..
because the bmw has no game
Where were the CORE games? Gears 3 ... ... ...
Wow probably one of the worst conferences ever. 1 game.
The 360 platform is close to becoming as stagnent and as useless as the PC platform.
Total failure.
I honestly don't care that Wii 2 is 1080p. Hell, most people don't even have HDTV's big enough to benefit from 1080p gaming, so it's kind of pointless for them and they won't see the so called 'benefits'
Not to mention if it turns out to be all kiddy crap again, it makes it even more pointless. YAY Pokemon @ 1080p!!! /s
For Wii 2 to succeed it needs to start releasing CORE games, instead of casual kiddy themed games like Wii, otherwise it will once again fail to deliver for the CORE gamer.
And yes, it's more powerful then PS3/360, but specs means nothing if the platform has no games - see 360.
@SilentNegotiator
Yes, you're right, the right analog stick is in the unnatural position, but at least 1 of the analog sticks is correct.
As for the reason why the right stick is at the bottom still, is due to the face buttons being used as primary functions for the right side of the controller, though I sort of disagree with this as I tend to use the right analog stick more (aiming for fps) then the face buttons. Again it depends on the game.
The analog sticks ARE in the wrong place for the simple reason that they aren't in the natural position/angle of your thumb (the left analog stick of the 360 is correct)
You have to remember when the analog sticks were first introduced for PSX, they weren't used as the primary control for games back then. It was still the DPAD (which was in the natural thumb position), hence why the analog sticks were put at the bottom, since they werent primary (DPAD was)
...
Not surprised L Noire (360) version outsold PS3 version. Even in Europe, where there are more PS3s, the difference was only less then 100k.
I think people underestimate 'controller preference' in a lot of peoples decision.
Even though I got the PS3 version, I know 8 people alone who got the 360 version simply because of the 360 controller.
I myself would normally have purchased the 360 version for this same reason, but extra DLC...
When you use something for so long, you get use to it and it will actually 'feel' natural, when it really isn't
The natural angle for the thumbs, is where the left stick for the 360 is.
Before I picked up a 360 controller, it felt incredibly natural to place my thumbs where the analog sticks are on the DS controller, little did I know, it wasen't because it was natural, but because I was so use to placing my thumbs there.
GTA4 better on PS3? Seriously? It was blurry, had a lot more jaggies, poorer draw distance and less detailed textures.
How on earth can that look better?
I use to be a HUGE PC gamer back in the day where PC's had alot of exclusives.
I am currently playing The Witcher 2 and thoroughly enjoying it.
To be honest with you, PC gaming as been incredibly stagnant. There are hardly any games on PC, that I can't already play on my 360 (which is what I prefer). Sure the graphics aren't as good, but it's still the same game, so that excuse does not work.
Playing The Witcher 2 atm, w...
Only difference is the brightness. Decrease the brightness on the PS3 version a couple of notches and it will look the same.
360 version wins though as it has the superior controller for racing games (those that use controllers for racing games)
This made me laugh
"Activision", "promises" and "raise the bar" in the same sentence.
I guess we shall see.
Erm but 'used' games are bought new to begin with, so the developer/publisher gets their $$ anyway? AM I missing something. It's already been purchased.
Are they saying they want to double dip? Greedy me thinks
Because the word 'superior' in regards to multiplats, was created by fanboys.
Normal people don't care, because whether they play the PS3 or 360 version, it's the same game, same story, same experience (therefore no superior version) and that is why the PS3 version is not outselling the 360 version.
It's only a 'superior' version to fanboys.
It's the SAME game on both platforms. Same story/gameplay etc.
This 'superior' term was created by fanboys. Whether you play the PS3 or 360 version, you are playing the same exact game.
erm Dead Space 2 looks better on 360, even though it's very small.
Why would I degrade my gaming experience by playing on such a small screen?
Playing games with high quality graphics is useless if playing it on a small screen.
Nintendo redefined CASUAL gaming, not GAMING.
Big difference
The Wii wasen't really a GAMING console. It was more of those kiddy gaming units you get from Toys'R'Us, just more advanced.
