I think 3D has a better chance of becoming a thing on the long run than VR, but there never seems to be a practical implementation of it. It would need to be dynamic, glassles, not cause sickness/headache and not have much of a performane impact.
VR will pretty much always require a closed off box to keep you focused on the screens, and good audio experience.
Though VR is so much more radically different from normal viewing experience that it has a much b...
Im not even sure if they are talking about the original music in Japanese, dub, Kai or the new Super. I have understood that they are trying to distance themselves from the original OST due to Dragonballs (composers) history of plagiarism. I think it was more common in the games, but some have said that even the japanese anime (Z) OST borrowed a lot from other musicians.
I think that for the sake of consistency they are probably going with Kai's and Super's OST'...
This is pretty cool. I hope this also means we can use Crash in Coco stages. Would be awesome to play all the stages with both of them.
Plus, its easy way of making slight changes for the old vets.
Just to tone down any dangerous hype...
Can we be sure that this is not related to the movie they have been working on for years? Sony's press conference would be a decently appropriate place to announce the status of the movie or even show a trailer, if they are confident in it being a good movie.
Now, this got me excited!
I wouldnt say its a ripoff. Reminds me of Journey a little more, and only the climbing puzzles are more Ico/TLG like.
On top of that, Uedas games are still very much living in the moment and trying to keep certain things as "real" as possible in their imaginative worlds.
Rime is much more focused on telling its story through metaphors. I would even go as far as to say it at time feels too artsy, and when you go to the detail, the story telling d...
When I was younger, I always thought it was a pitty that Coco was only restricted to very specific levels. It would be pretty great to have her fully playable.
Pumped for this. Im more of a fan of the over the shoulder style DB games, but Xenoverse didnt interest me at all, so this seems very refreshing.
Not sure how up tp date that info is, but I can believe it. BC with PS1/2 is probably not going to be used that much, and PS3 BC is very unfeasible on the hardware side.
Better to just keep fingers crossed that now that they have a more PC like and less custom hardware, they are going to be able to provide a decent BC on PS5 for 4's games. I always saw that as one of the great benefits that could come with their current hardware.
Next... PLEASE Megaman X collection...
Tombi/Tomba series.
Sony published the game outside of Japan
Depends what you consider a remaster. In my eyes, remasters have always been just enhanced ports, since in non-gaming context remastering always meant that you take the original product and then try to remix a better end result from the original assets, or using the existing assets. In movies for example, you go through the original film material shot in considerably higher quality than what is released on home video, then you recut the film in higher detail, and if its old enough to have ori...
Marketing. Remaster is a very recognizable term, and gives people the impression that these are the same games as the ones on PS1. If they called them remakes, some could think of something like the 2016 R&C remake.
Whatever, there really wasnt a rock solid definition in gaming for remasters either way. You cant exactly even use the same definition as in music because of large technical differences between the artforms. You cant really remaster code, while you can remas...
The thing is, many games dont allow mods but still receive some. Some publishers would immediately jump on the chance to block mods through this if it enables that.
Would make a decent Ghost Recon game.
This. Heard about it too.
Since the news have quite caught up, Im wishing for little bit more lolz out of this petition.
Because those two were pretty mandatory for the PS3, while PS2 BC required most of the internals of the PS2 to be integrated into the PS3 and it was not mandatory. BC wasnt even that widely used, so you could say it was just unnecessary inflation of the price.
PS2s were sold for like 99$/€ at the end of its lifecycle IIRC, but at that point I would say they still must have added 50-60$/€ to the PS3 price. Considering PS3s high launch price, its very easy to point out "...
With the rise of Souls, also came a system where people could help those with lesser skills either for a little reward or out of good will.
Whining about Git Gud either means that you dont understand memes, or you were whining previously about something, which resulted into someone telling you to "Git Gud"
I think its a combination of many things that have sparked this paranoia. Political views in the recent years, snarky people saying that they can "finally kill some white republicans" and the devs themselves saying that the game will tackle political issues of the current world. Even that seems little tone deaf, since Scientology-like cults have not been that topical recently, so it seems that the game could be a political middle finger of sorts.
I dont care that ...
@PygmelionHunter
No, thats more like you watching a stream of the VHS over the Internet, from the original VHS recorder.
