I don't know what the button is on the PC or 360, but if you don't want to talk to someone who starts a conversation or choose the only option given to you, you can press O and just leave.
As for the quest itself, I thought it was pretty stupid too, but not for the same reasons. Haelga isn't exactly the nicest person to the main character, so I suppose if you talk to her before Svana the cold greeting you get at entering her bunkhouse is intended to make you disli...
Jynx looks like an offensive stereotype because we're looking at it with a Western culture as a reference, but it's actually a reference to Ganguro fashion in Japan.
No mention of "The King" from Fallout: New Vegas?

The author is female, but regardless it's bad enough we have people complaining about how characters are represented that have been around a lot longer than some of these websites, now they're fighting within themselves?
I was kind of hopeful from the title that this article would be a response to all of the bashing of the SCV ad, as it really isn't that big of a deal, but instead I'm told that now along with "girl gamers" there's a new sect call...
How ironic that the author of this article has a picture quoting the Dude that says "Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man", and then proceeds to present an argument that claims a difference between "girl gamers" and "gamer girls". Why not just be a person who happens to enjoy playing video games?
The example, "...flirts with everyone and ...snaps up every piece of gear because she oohs and aahs so adorably" is a moocher,...
NoA really needs to get their act together.
True, I would have liked the ad a lot better if it had showed all of her face too.
Exactly, while everyone rants and raves about the way women are portrayed in video games, no one seems to think about the actual women who might have the same body types as Ivy. How do people think they feel when they see articles constantly demeaning women in video games that are shaped like this? I admit, some games take it too far, but the people complaining about these things really need to pick their targets better. NB knows that Ivy is a popular character, so the advertising neither off...
"I can’t help but feel that Levine’s stance has been undercut by the revelation of Namco Bandai’s print ad of SoulCalibur V, which features a close-up of an unknown woman’s cleavage."
That "unknown woman" is Ivy Valentine, and while her figure may be what gets the most attention from people, her character is much deeper than a lot of people give her credit for. Ivy is no less of a strong, female character than any of her more conservatively dressed counter...
The bride designed it.
There's a strong possibility that this will be localized, but if you'd rather not wait go ahead.
I agree, but at least Skyrim is an RPG.
No, that's Serj Tankian.
The only game on that list that I'd be interested in playing is Alan Wake, and I plan on getting it when it comes out for the PC.
They forgot one.
Is it odd that even though I agree with you, and I typically like the Japanese style covers better, I actually prefer the Japanese box art? Maybe the US art just seems odd to me since his teammates are shooting one way and he's running the other with a guy on his back.
How many people have said, "I'm not buying at launch just in case there are still kinks in the hardware"? There are people like that all over the world. I haven't bought a 3DS yet, but I probably will once it has games that I want to play available. The same can be said about the Vita. Just because it didn't sell out in the first week doesn't mean it's a failure.
There are some JRPGs that have a day/night cycle, interactive NPCs, and lively environments with a good story. There will always be static NPCs, even in Skyrim a lot of the NPCs repeat the same routine everyday. I'm not saying JRPGs are perfect, but there are certain traits that they have that make them JRPGs.
Check out Persona 3 or 4 and you'll find a JRPG that has the traits you mention. They are still very much JRPGs though, and what makes them JRPGs is why I like ...
I don't know, but now that you mention it she does kind of look like that Snooki girl.
