That sounds like the ending to Dragon Age: Origins.
Bo knows video game engines.
I wouldn't expect an Assassin's Creed game to be historically accurate, so he might give Connor a motorcycle, a machine gun, and the new iPad 3.
Why is it when a "JRPG" comes out reviewers consistently point out the cliches, yet the cliches in Mass Effect, Uncharted, Gears of War, God of War, and the many generic shooters are never even mentioned? Cliches exist in every game, and if Mr. Hilliard really does snap his fingers at his television he may want to get out more.
While I agree that it does work for others, such as Nintendo, I also agree with Inafune when he says they need to take more risks and create new characters and ideas for games. Most of the highly praised games from Japan do that, like Demon's Souls and Catherine.
I hope this gets released on PS3 in the West.
"Thanks to her performance in Mass Effect 1 and 2, Jennifer has made is so that selecting a female character is much more than having a character model that's easy on the eyes. instead, you get to experience a performance that transcends gender."
I'm sorry, but that statement is laughable. She isn't the worst VA by far, but don't put her on a pedestal when there have been games with much better voice acting than anything in ME. Both Shepherds deliver...
Hey BioWare, can I have a million dollars?
If this is true I will temporarily lift my boycott of Capcom just to buy this game.
I don't think they could get away with calling it "Game of the Year" although they could still release a complete edition.
There should be a balance between pandering to fans and not listening at all. BioWare panders while Capcom doesn't seem to listen very often, but both have the potential to be harmful.
Edit: Is that a Mass Effect/Battlefield pic? Is EA using that style for the cover of all of their games now?
The Civil War would be a difficult setting because of the nature of the war. The elements behind the conflict are too complicated and the situation is a wound that I don't think anyone wants to open to the level that an RPG would require. It would be interesting to see what could happen in a game based in the Civil War, but I definitely wouldn't want BioWare/EA to touch it.
I think most of these complaints come with the increased level in realism in sports games.
Gone are the days of Tecmo Bowl and 100 yard passes, or Nintendo World Cup and the super shots, you can still get an RBI Baseball style game in Japan with the Power Pros series, but they haven't been localized in the West since the PS2/Wii games were released due to the MLB license not being used, but I wouldn't mind playing as a Japanese team.
I'd rather ha...
Dragon Age 2 was a cash grab, plain and simple. Even if it hadn't been "consolized" it still would have been terrible. What do you expect from such a short development time with as many corners cut as it had.
One of the reasons why I like Toshihiro Nagoshi:
"...I’m quite confident that I can make better games than what I could do in the past. So personally, there is no particular title that I’d want to see re-released."
What's the big deal about this? Anyone who has an Xbox360 has an avatar too.
Actually, he's right. Prices for electronics are much higher in Japan than they are in NA. That probably doesn't take the sting out of the decision not to have transfers here, but believe it or not there are a lot of benefits to being a gamer in NA.
Great movie, and I'd argue it's Pacino's best.
OT: Phelps is a complex character. Like him or not, his faults are what make him more "human", even more so than the facial animations.
The fact that it's coming out for the PS3 and 360 bodes well for a multiplat release of Persona 5.
While Japanese games may not be as popular in the West as they used to be, I'd argue that every developer has their own faults. Bethesda may have made a great game in Skyrim, but it gets repetitive and the game launched with major glitches.
I'd like to see some of the more exclusive Japanese games come Westward, but their developers don't release them because they don't think people in the West would like them. A lack of creativity is a problem all over the w...
