LOL I thought of a 2048 spin off with more battles :P
Thanks!
I actually know someone who loved playing video games, entered college for game development and found out it's very very different.. the hard way.
He shifted education since then.
Great read!
Guess the 2 biggest part for me after purely visuals is more complex and plenty of physics and AI.
I guess convincing AI should take priority for becoming the most "realistic game" in the near future since we're hitting some diminishing returns in graphics.
MS listens so wait for the cheaper Xbox One-Eighty w/o a power brick and Kinect.
They'll probably support 4K "2D" games.. like a Vanillaware title.
Hope he tries to bring over the JPN VITA game (XBL port) to the US:
Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds
http://www.siliconera.com/2...
It's announced for the VITA for JPN only tho.
If he can target a little higher, maybe ask for GE2 localization.
I'll wait for the 180 turn.
"No, buy a separate PC X1 Controller."
LOL Nice discount for Muramasa :P
"Please no more 'B-Grade' ports."
EDITED for accuracy.
Yes, probably.
Developers won't likely publicly disclose such ofc.
Prospective "AAA" Class VITA exclusive games, specially by 3rd party, will be scrapped off in favor of a lower budget PS4 game with decent Remote Play functionality.
I've said that for months now.
The VITA's future of being a gimped standalone portable device and a glorified PS4 controller isn't far off, IMO.
Seems mo...
So VITA:
~5% New VITA tiles (some may turn out vaporware).
~20% B Grade Ports and Localization.
~75% Indies.
Oh and 50% of the indies will be cheaper on other platforms and released a few weeks later.
-No Remote Play public demo.
Prove me wrong Sony, prove hard and how far off my projection is for the VITA.
So would it have sounded better if he said "it's in decline"?
Comparing two VITA time frames
From 1.7m and now just to 1.1m
-33.5% "decline".
-VGC Market Share Update to July 20th
The two new bundles aren't as good as the last one revelead at E3, consisting of a port and an indie.
Hope the GC hype makes up for it but I seriously doubt that.
Even t...
Read again.
MR isn't an exclusive, non-port, big budget, established IP, "AAA" game and in this context, no way near the tier of KZM.
The VITA is starving from such games.
Is this your only board?
Go IGN, GFAQs, PSIndependent and see how the topics are filled with "fantasy threads", questionable GC projections and software begging relative to other boards.
No need to get that kind of ...
I bet Sony's scared of these Gameloft games devaluing their five times expensive shooters on PSN yet only have 4v4.
Unless Sony artificially jacks up these MC4 and NOVA 3 PSN pricing and castrate the 12MP of these games.
Massive is subjective.
They tried it in JPN, and after a few weeks of having no substantial software, it went back to low numbers.
Software stream > price cut
BUT, since the VITA is less likely to get a steady stream of high profile games, a price cut won't be too bad.
A temporary fix nonetheless.
@PrimeGrime
Yes, but this time should be handled by Sony's own, more talented team.
CoD still has the brand power compared to any other VITA game barring UC (sales as proof).
"but stop making it like the vita is soooo desperate that this game is the second coming for the vita. "
Can you blame the VITA base?
It's starved w/ barely any exclusive, non-port, big budget, established IP, "AAA" -game(s) specially for the West.
I'll wait for the PSV comparison.
Seems it's 720p in battle.. it's not as sharp as the other screens.
Hmm..
Kinda reminds me of the VITA's multi-tasking capabilities as a CONSOLE.
Too bad it's easily downplayed since ph/ablets already do it better.
