3DS reaching god tier towards X and Y.
This is insane.
@STK026
I think PSP piracy is a factor and could eat into the legitimate sales.
"Hey, I can pirate this on my PSP.
I'd wait for the PSV to go down in price or even drop it all together." = potentially lost profit
I don't think it's better to risk on something like that.
Probably best way to avoid this is either to have a limited UMD run, no PSP digital and make native up-port of the game...
Wasn't AKB a VITA game?
I just wish it didn't have that tacky looking bezel.
Soon:
VTV with backpad
+
VITA Controller & Screen -dock.
= The Transforming VITA TV.
TVTV
A reasonably priced VITA smartphone with fast dual booting onto Android would be an instant pre-order for me if Sony allowed such.
lmao
The VITA isn't exactly in the same position as the PSP was with missing substantial 3rd party support and the having been left by its largest selling JPN IP.
Who knows what'll happen when the the PS4 and VTV are finally integrated into the market though.
..and Sony finally making an exclusive VITA GT game or a heavy featured app for the PS3/4 game.
Not if MS scares the publishers.
What's high res about this?
Has the term been butchered?
Are you sure it's 720p internal resolution?
I was thinking it's likely upscaled to 720p because it's still using the VITA hardware.
Maybe that's what you meant?
Guess the 3DS will be the best selling console this gen (PS4/X1/Wii U/VITA) by miles. Was funny when most people implied it's gonna bomb into oblivion (I'm not saying they were baseless on that thought at the time).
MH4, Pokemon then SSB? Damn.
Anyone seen the people already lining up for MH4?

It's only gonna...
More like PS4 budget gamers and even that can be contradictory in your context (PS4's 400 bucks) and I wouldn't really call that "budget".
A budget gamer IMO is better off with the 200 dollar PS3 with its robust library.
The VTV, IMO, best targets the PS4 and PS3 owners (since they already have the controllers) and Sony is hoping for them to try and get convinced with the VITA platform with a low cost of entry.
Aren't we getting the same game (13) with modified roster/uniforms or something?
Yes, Black Crush/Clipping can happen on the VITA and that destroys dark details. I personally don't want that.
Since "black" remains very dark on the OLED (opposed to "gray" in LCD), outdoor/high ambient lighting performance is affected specially on a dark setting in games.
If I can, I'd happily trade in my VITA OLED screen for a decent enough LCD but I want to keep the premium gen 1 VITA design (except for Start/Sel buttons)
Next gen gaming: tap, tap, swipe, swipe..
lmao.
No. Not anytime soon.
Not unless Apple mandates controllers.
If/Once $ 29.99 - $ 49.99 games becomes a trend for iOS/Android, only then can you expect some of those standards.
VITA is no longer a "competition" judging by its issues and commercial situation it's in.
It's a far more of a niche product.
I'm confident that for millions of people of whom a substantial part may be interested with mobile digital entertainment, an iPhone 5S/C is "$ 0 cost".
EDIT: *$ 0.00 "added" cost.
Why? It can be an "essential" part of modern culture/living specially in the developed countries, much more than a VITA.
That's how crazy lucrative the smart device trend is.
VITA JPN software = 1 3DS 3rd party IP
Impressively sad for Sony's handheld.
The Sony employee/s that was supposed to keep MH/Capcom relationship for Sony's handheld must now be MIA/s.
It's not even over yet: Pokemon.
