Devs should assign at least 2 hotslots/items for the touch pad for "basic" usage. Great for MMO/RPG games.
For "advanced" usage, maybe 4 items based on gestures (swipe up for item 1 /skill 1, swipe left for item 2/skill 2, etc.)
Very practical, if not already the most, "core" gaming feature.
Technically, it COULD revolutionize Console Gaming for the lack of buttons.
Is this "Remote Play" (video included) for iOS/Android or just another input method (no video beamed to iOS/Android screen)?
I'd be a hair more concerned if it's the earlier.
When you buy the next and new console and a new exclusive game from/for that console.
TL;DR
"These rumors didn't come from us."
"But.. never say never." (regarding PS4/PSV bundle)
Nope.
It's probably to encourage people to go online for MP and just do the SP campaign modes to rack up points/money that carries over to MP.
I have a feeling they'd patch in bots (or as DLC) once the MP community starts to go down from peak.
Bigger? No.
Better? Subjective.
Bright with "middle"-ware, indies and ports.
At least the "B-Class" port is now upgraded to an "A-Class"-desirable port (BL2) for more people.
The burden of proof for quality is at Sony's with quite a few crappy ports of other games so far.
KZM, PS+ and the potential of Freedom Wars are the last three strings of w/c the VITA hangs for me.
E3 and GC wasn't as good as last year's. It...
I'd be all over the 32 GB for $ 59.99.
My friend who doesn't follow these games religiously but do play a lot of BF3 and a lot of CODBO.. totally digged the trailer mostly because of the dog.
Good for him.
The solution, claims Rubin, is to create a PLATFORM-AGNOSTIC character profile that can be transferred anywhere.
"And you can go back and forth if you want. You can go any platform you want - PC as well. That's something I think that as a player is important because, again, we hope we're supporting people who don't have tons of income.
It likely means it can go on ANY of the platforms (PS3/360/X1/PS4/PC).
The TRUE TEST is THE $ 39.99 games.
If iOS/Android finally proves that they can sell the SAME game for 40 dollar game much more the 3DS/VITA then good game.
Please Sony, make sure a talented team handles it.
I don't want low quality ports anymore for the system.
Pure Chess and Men's Room Mayhem? LMAO
Well, with the Sony tax I guess devs/Sony makes some money.
Fruit Ninja 5 bucks/PvZ at least 10 bucks :P
Except the VITA screen can be TOO big because of the virtual button placements.
Gonna be hard to use your Porcupine Vanguard for KZM that way w/o shuffling your fingers.
6.3" may not be that huge tho if they decide to have a VITA with less bezel.
No it doesn't even Sony is disappointed by the sales several times already.
AAA games are the life blood of this device.
It's not enough to meet even Sony's standards.
And under the control of console manufacturers whimsical exclusion/inclusion of backwards compatibility.
Might seem too early.
The PSP 2000 released 2 yrs. and 9 mos. after the original.
Though we are in the fast evolving mobile age and the VITA's using somewhat mainstream internals (ARM/PowerVR).
LOL seems too soon.
Is Sony willing to make a lot of already VITA owners, who Jack Tret said is "small and dedicated", feel shafted this early?
Doubt it.
New games to require a new model is unrealistic.
It may be too soon for such a redesign tho.
The PSP 2000 came out almost 3 years after the PSP 1000.. but I guess we are at the mobile age where mobile devices evolve "naturally" faster.
It's just a rumor tho.
Only in Japan, realistically speaking.. as it's becoming more of a PS3 multi-platform device there.
Plenty of Western 3rd party seem to be too busy milking the iOS/Android trend. They'd rather do these low investment games with likely "enough" returns (Deus Ex? Dead Space? Mass Effect? Cheap sports and racers?).
