It would be better if there was an option for it.
The VITA should be a more versatile machine with tons of control options.
Maybe other devs think that's a sign of poor control design but I say it's a power feature for the VITA (unless the hardware can't handle it well w/c I doubt).
I read somewhere before that it could be the PSM environment as devs are only allowed 80+ mb to 120+ mb for PSM games.
I'm talking about Chaos Rings.
The browser has been unstable with the 5 VITA's I've had (replaced all to just 1) but that's not the topic.
Damn, I want the VITA version :(
I read comments on vita boards that it's laggy compared to even a 4S.
If that's true then just wow.
After what they've pulled with the 3DS against odds like growing mobile market trends and the supposedly vastly superior Sony handheld, I'd say they've got a chance.
Wouldn't it be nice if you can get the VITA to work as a pseudo 2nd controller?
There's still some value to that.
"Hey dude, I have X game for the PS4 and it has split screen MP.. too bad I don't have a 2nd controller"
"Hey, I've got a VITA.. let's use that instead."
Doubt action games would be a great experience for over the net Remote Play unless you're play in easy mode.

Here we go again.
It depends on what you mean by "save".
Sell like hotcakes and be as competitive as its predecessor? Unlikely.
Gain public awareness? More likely.
If Sony is able to prove near flawless experience with RP (both local and over the net) during Gamescom or TGS (public testing), it's going to be pretty good.
If they skip those events and VITA Heaven, it means it's likely to a b...
I know.
But I doubt the final game would look much sharper.
This is from JPN Studios right? Like Soul Sacrifice and Gravity Rush, this game is likely to be below native resolution.
The picture released add another evidence of that.
(KZM screenshots from an actual VITA doesn't look as blurry/jagged because it's native)
This won't look as bad on your VITA screen though.
This would be great for dual/3ple monitor setups but still depends on your peripheral vision.
Wow those 3D models look sub par for a PS3 game.
Wonder if they're planning to port it to the VITA.
Here's an actual full level of the game in Veteran difficulty (27 mins):

I hope the final AI is smarter and more aggressive with the final retail product.
I'm 100% sure it's a limited feature/resources dev kit and not equal to the capabilities of the expensive ones for bigger development.
For the price, it can still be great.
EDIT: AFAIK every VITA is a PSM Dev Kit.
" because these types of experiences are better served at home. Which, coincidentally, is where a lot of handheld gaming is played. Who's going to opt for an inferior version when the real thing is just a front room away?
Compare and contrast to Nintendo, which is on a huge roll at the moment, and one that's due to continue with the likes of Pokemon X and Y, among others, heading for the console.
Nintendo has always known how to play the game on ...
A problem with the VITA is the "Uncanny Valley" status; too close to home consoles for comfort.
It's close enough to current home consoles both in game types, platform cost and probably development cost.
Some games are viewed as castrated home console experiences instead of being considered as a mobile feat or compared against other mobile games.
They should make a VITA horror game 1st.
5 years from now, higher end PCs will run 4K games at 60 fps with better than console details.
That's the problem with VITA games. They give that Uncanny Valley feeling of being too close to home consoles that PS360 standards as used as THE metric.
1. The Brutal Melee kill doesn't have an optional button control. Skip the QTE and you miss bucks.
2. Porcupine and SkyFury doesn't have optional button controls either.
3. Activating Vanguards don't have optional physical buttons either.
..but seriously, the...
