Considering that those are scans from a magazine it looks pretty good!

I think people are waiting more for FF6 and above, and Chrono Trigger remakes.
in N.A. we keep having hurricanes and what-not. I think that our announcement and release date have been delayed because of that.
I like you man. I like all of my fellow Nintendo fans. But just because you happen to be satisfied doesn't mean that everyone has to be. Especially since gamers crave more "core" type games than ever and Nintendo is in a poorly planned rut. The only way to be heard is to say what's on your mind. Let things slide, and it will happen again and again.

Clearly the Gameplay score for this game counts for more toward the final score than the other categories. There's a reason why IGN's and many reviewers scores aren't an average. It's because things can't always be so cut and dry. This is a Wii game, where how the game is expressed through the Wii remote makes or breaks it more-so than any other factor could.
Do I buy this subpar but somewhat fun game for $50 (that I'd rather spend on an excellent game) in hopes that there will be a sequel that more work is put into? A common attitude today toward the Wii is when a half-assed PS2 port "core" game doesn't sell it means that there's no market for "core" games of that genre.
And yet, if we gamers do buy this game in hopes that they'll do right next time around, why wouldn't the developers feel that they don't have to ...
Sometimes this game looks very PS2ish. I wish that they had done a better job on skin and clothing textures. In any case, I've already resigned myself to this game being all about the gameplay and hope it lives up to Nintendo quality on that front.
Nintendo ships more Wii's each month than MS and Sony ship of their consoles combined. They are at around 1.6-1.8 million shipped per month, after starting at around 800k at launch. The thing is still selling out for these reasons:
1. It is and always has been affordable, and doesn't require an expensive HD tv or cable in order to enjoy to the fullest.
2. The Wii Remote in many ways brings a priceless brand of immersion to games. Not everything on the console consist...
...we're pretty much guaranteed to see Spore on every console. EA and Will Wright will want to make more money off of this game than the current situation allows.
I'm a Wii owner who plans to get another console eventually but not yet.
I'm not going to buy a $199 Xbox 360 because that'll be the day when I buy a second current gen system that has storage issues.
That means that I have to spend at least $300 bucks when I do buy that new system. Not to mention a second controller and a game or two to get me started.
I play 360 and PS3 games at friends houses on a semi-regular basis. But when it comes time to put down...
For a new, excellent RPG that is.
My beef with this game is that this sort of thing is where Nintendo's main focus is right now. Not just their primary focus, nearly their only focus. I have no problem with the creation of such a game. But I do have a problem with the attitude of : "Here's Mario, Zelda, and Smash bros. Now go away for a while and don't expect anything you like from us while we milk the waggle-fest idea." It's annoying and insulting since my personal bottom line is that I actually would like to spend...
...it appears that all of the voices are different this time around. I've called Namco Bandai and e-mailed them a few times to ask them about returning voice actors, but their only real reply has been that since it's such an "obscure question" they'll have to look into it and get back to me. (Which they never did). Makes sense... If it was my business I wouldn't want any of the focus on this game to be about something seen as a letdown either.
How many times? :)
I could write a walkthrough for that game I know it so well.
Boycott? Yes.
O rly?!? :p
I'm starving for great RPG's on the Wii.
My Life as a King was surprisingly fun. Admittedly my need for some sort of RPG at the time really fed into my enjoyment of the game, but the concept was nice, and I wouldn't mind at all if its aspect was added to a traditional style RPG in the future. As for graphics, it's probably still the best looking WiiWare game.
...that they announce that this game will also be released in the U.S. at the TGS.
