Where's Donkey Kong Wii Nintendo?
Hope you guys liked the series.
Is he trying to say that The Conduit is a port to Wii from PS3?
I'm no 360 fanboy, so I won't even begin to argue this with you; since I mostly don't care, but since the subject has been argued to death.
I will say though, that you know, as well as I that there are 360 fanboys on this very site that can make this argument for their side to a standstill. The structure of the two systems is too different for us to know definitively which is more powerful, or capable of better looking games. I personally feel "in my gut" that the PS3 p...
From what I've gathered, the 360 and PS3 are slightly more than 4 times more powerful than the Wii.
Also, I think that what a game like The Conduit will do is show that when you put enough work into a Wii game, then on a standard definition TV, a 360 or PS3 game won't look much superior, if at all. HD is a whole other story, but the truth is that less than 25% of mainstream consumers own an HD T.V. Gamers who are playing their PS3 or 360 on a standard def. T.V. (And there are alo...
But it's arguable that those games could be done on the 360. Microsoft has claimed so anyway.
although no one on this thread has compared it to a 360 game, several members of the press have. Especially around the time of E3, that was one of the big statements being made about this game. People were mistaking it for a 360 game at first glance.
A nice mix of haters and rational folk today. Also, for those who for whatever reasons don't realize it, that video has lost a step or two in being transferred to Youtube.
during their demos, they've had the AI turned down pretty low so that people can see the whole demo in their allotted time. The AI is supposedly pretty good.
that rather than hating, those who own both an HD console, and a Wii would see this game for what it is. I'm definitely going to buy more than one copy and share the fun. Since there's no split screen multiplayer, I'll actually be doing myself a favor.
...people want to pretend that they've slipped out of their personal bias when they say things such as: "The Wii needs to make more hardcore games. Casual games threaten the future of hardcore." Which to some degree is true. However, those same people feel threatened by a game like The Conduit and feel the need to "put the Wii in its place" so that Wii owners can't feel any pride in their console.
What does that tell us? That many of those people aren't plann...
Members of the Zelda team had been working on Wii Music. That's fine and all, but Wii Music is in Midi format... Ugh... Foiled again...
They've gone out of their way in the past to stress the point that the game can look no better than the resolution allows. What they're saying is that they are pretty much using the visual effects techniques used in an hd game on a game that maxes out in 480p. It looks very good as a result. Do you really feel so threatened by that that you have to try and belittle them?
We've got to make sure that these kinds of games and efforts continue. The fate of this game is important to all gamers really.
It is interesting and all that this is happening, but since it is week 6 of this, and we're consistently talking about a measly 1000 console difference or so, who really gives a damn? I mean, the fact that both PS3 and Xbox 360 are being outsold by the PS2 every week says alot more than which HD console beats the other by some negligible amount does.
a sequel to a beloved series is released, the amount of money beyond what was spent on the previous game should hinge on profits/sales. People always want the next bit of expensive graphics and mass scale gameplay, but at a certain point, that number of people reaches its limit. Meanwhile the company making the games pays the cost.
There just aren't enough people yet who are willing to spend 400 dollars on a console, and over 1000 on a TV in order to buy a $60 game. That's why S...
You might not understand that choice unless you've been as RPG starved as I have. But there's no way I'd buy another game this year if I could only get one.
is more about loyalty to Nintendo and Miyamoto rather than being about refusal to enjoy other brands. You know what I mean?
eventually the dual cameras, and expanded storage capacity might yield some interesting games. But for the most part, the purpose of the DSi is to create a new price point for the handheld and rake in more profit for Nintendo.
With the exception of the opening scene, I thought it looked like a gameboy color game. Looks like they stayed really true to the gameplay though which is awesome.
