How does more man power in a small amount of time trump less man power over a longer period of time in the effort dept? I'm getting God of War 3, Red Steel 2, and Pokemon Heart Gold or Silver. I'll be getting Final Fantasy XIII eventually, but I still have too many games to finish as well as these due out in a few weeks that I want to play first.
released on the 26th. It had less than a week on the market before this set of numbers was compiled. There's no reason to be down on the sales yet. I'd been waiting for it for a while, but wasn't sure when it released exactly myself at first since I haven't seen any marketing for it. I ended up buying it the week after it released. I completely agree that while my 'taste for the series is souring' all it will take to prevent that is an MMORPG. The adding of new pokemon every few years with slightly better looking base graphics is a dead horse being beaten for years and years now. Loyalty has to go both ways Nintendo.
So I'm not going to play favorites between the two HD consoles, but I will say that it's downright ignorant to state that God of War isn't as exciting as it used to be. God of War III is FAR more anticipated than either of the previous two in the series. Why say something like that?

want a real Final Fantasy game. With FFXIII unable to come to Wii, the least SquareEnix could have done was give Wii owners a real RPG. Especially since the console is lacking in that dept. Nope. Instead they make a 1 player adventure game and slap the Final Fantasy name on it. I'm not saying it's a bad game, only that it's not what people wanted. Companies get so caught up in trying to figure out what the Wii audience wants that they've abandoned the tried and true to a fault.

if a company 'tested the hardcore market' on the 360 or PS3 with an on rails game. It would probably sell even worse. It's like offering chocolate chip cookies, where some of the chocolate chips are sh!t chunks. Sure it might have a certain element of goodness to it. But sh!t is one of the ingredients! when the PS2 is killed off. Which it hasn't been yet. After 10 years. There will be a market for the Wii for years to come as long as it continues to get cheaper, remains cheap to develop for, and Nintendo itself keeps making games for it. That being said, I wish that Nintendo would go ahead and announce their next console, because I've been only partially fulfilled by the Wii for several years now. I just don't think it will happen very soon.
