not what I wanted. A pity Square Enix felt that this was what they needed to release on the Wii, even though there are so few RPG's to choose from on the console...
Sega will take the hint with the Sonic franchise...
so much as they don't like it when people say it's as good as or better than "whatever their favorite Zelda title is". That's why it gets so much hate imo.
Zelda to be much of anything like Fallout 3. Zelda works because the basic gaming principle is extremely sound and fun, rather than fleeting. Not to mention that the series already sells millions of copies of each game. It doesn't need a face lift for more sales. It may need a few fresh integral elements added to keep some people buying. But if they were to pattern Zelda after Fallout 3 it would be an insult to the franchise, and most of the fans. Besides, Fallout 3 is a Western style RPG. Ja...
The Handcuff and Air throw glitches of SFII were cool and all, but most people didn't/don't play that way. In MVC2 however, many glitches have seriously enhanced the game, and keep it going strong in tournaments 10 years after the fact. There's always something 'new' with that game.
Those are the only recent games that I find have personal replay value for me. I'm not much into MW2.
Some of those purple coin levels were just downright murderous. I think that people complaining that it was too easy didn't conquer the game, they simply beat it. Which is what Nintendo made easy to do.
This game is a free roaming, action R.P.G., with one major character, and no party system. Meanwhile FFXIII is being released in 4 months configured in the way that Japanese gamers (And many others for that matter) love. This isn't to say that this CC game is bad. But with so few R.P.G.'s on the Wii, I don't think this is what people wanted. I know I don't.
I'm buying this day one. Sucks you can't co-op online, but oh well.
When? Wii sales are already faltering, especially in Japan, which is their self described early indicator. Of course no matter how you cut it, the Wii is a success, but what about Nintendo's future? "Casual" gamers who won't take it to the next level are not going to buy many games period. While existing "hardcore" Nintendo gamers, and "casual" gamers who are playing more games over time as they develop, and trying more complicated games have a choice of either s...
for nothing Nintendo... How about something Pokemon fans actually want on the console? Good grief...
I can't believe they've made Europe wait this long for this game. It's worth playing, but personally I found it to be very disappointing.
and the falling value of the dollar, I think Nintendo is more interested in getting consoles into homes for cheap rather than more expensive bundles. What that means to me is that as far as the U.S. is concerned, Nintendo probably plans to make most of their profit from software sales. They'll take a bit less profit-wise for now in order to do that I'm thinking.
U.S. leaders can go on and on about how the economy is recovering if they want. The unemployment rate is still on the ...
If you're a seasoned gamer, then of course you have absolutely no need for the feature. But if you are a new or unskilled gamer, then this can help you to be come a more serious one. In the end, I think that's what everyone involved wants regarding the "casual" audience, even Nintendo. To turn the non-serious gamer into a more serious gamer.
I can't imagine spending 50 bucks on that. You may as well buy a game. Even a crappy one like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. (J/K, it wasn't crappy, but it was very disappointing).
Mormons would enjoy this, since they have classically had "Family game night" type things, only without the video games? If so, that's another nice chunk of market.
that people with Blu Ray players are in a better financial situation to buy movies upon release right now. We already knew that. It's just that the financial crisis makes it more pronounced. We shouldn't act as if this 20% means more as far as raw numbers go. The DVD people will still buy, as time goes on. It's just that more of the Blu Ray people were in a position to do so from the get go this time, due to the economy.
ToS: 2 was a bit disappointing. Not bad. But disappointing.
Obama advocates KIDS spending LESS TIME playing video games. Not getting rid of video games. Not any kind of halt to playing video games. Not Adults to halt, get rid of, or spend less time playing video games.
He thinks that many KIDS don't have their priorities straight. And he's right. When a kid comes home from school, and their first priority is Madden, or Call of Duty, and homework gets done whenever if ever, it's an issue. All he's doing is addressing the issue, and trying...

I'd like to wait until I play Pokemon Heart Gold or Soul Silver before I make this decision. But I'd probably choose some form of Panel de Pon or a Pokemon game. I'd have to weigh that choice against the many RPG's I've loved over the years too though. What an unfair question. Ha ha
