All consoles present and past have always been programmed the most efficient way possible from the start, so there is really nothing more to gain.
The PC never had this advantage because it uses differing components. With DX12 programmers can now get "closer to the metal". We have always relied on the middle man to convert code to each gpu making programming easier but not as efficient. DX12 gets rid of the middleman while still keeping it ...

Konami's money will still look good for awhile till MGS5 is over, they can ride the coattails of that for awhile. We won't be able to rejoice in their downfall for awhile. Of course they may very well strike it rich in the mobile sector as well if they produce a wild hit. There is obviously some talent there, hope they get out with Kojima if possible.

The deals in Hard Drives are buying bigger capacity, not buying 1TB over and over again. you can get some pretty decent deals on 3TB and 4TB at times...pretty much for the price of buying two 1TB.

With the x1 already being cheaper and with even more inevitable holiday sales the x1 could be extremely cheap during the holidays and I'll guarantee you that it will sell like hotcakes if it hits 250 or so. Last year had REALLY good sales on both systems, either with bundles or just a low price in general.
No matter anyone's opinion of which console is better...
I hope they don't give up and focus on multiplayer only, i wonder how successful shark cards are - I would say it brings in a ton of money and that will probably dictate the future some.
I think they have more than enough money from straight up sales to support both modes, but will they? :) I would like to see at least 2 good size story expansions while we wait for RDR.
