some salty downvotes in here.
Then someday when xbox fanboys get their next gen Xbox, that's compatible with the windows store PC games and they have a huge catalog day one, that can be played at higher settings with no need for remaster... they'll be like "oh..." so that was the plan.
if you apply that logic to Battlefront than you have to apply it to battlefield 3&4 which were both pretty successful at maintaining a decent player base. F2P shooters are not the problem, the game is pretty much universally panned for growing stale fast.
Overtime the original had some pretty decent word of mouth recommendations and plenty of people picked it up for cheap and probably liked it, since it is a good game, and built up the IP. It's still not a blockbuster name compared to things like Battlefield, but it should do fine. For anyone else besides the mega companies, it would have been a nice seller.
@FullmetalRoyale
That doesn't really make sense either, as those with lower end computers should just scale down settings accordingly....most games still look pretty great at mixed medium and high settings and even some low.
One of the major bonuses of PC gaming is upgrading. A couple years down the line a cheaper GPU will be able to play it at high or max and many more people will be able to enjoy it at higher fidelity.
You heard it hear first, Big_dom doesn't think women can be mod makers, sexist pig!
@EeJLP watch your language there are kids on this site!
@samden
It all comes down to the customer really, if they can sale it for crazy amounts to people with plenty of money they will, then drop prices later. It's no different than mobile games that charge crazy amounts of money for simple things, then claim they only make money from "whales" when they don't even have anything decently priced.
This really makes no sense. If you bought it on PC you would reward him as well, maybe even more as I think steam takes less of a cut then Consoles.
Mario kart Wii U runs at 1080p 60fps... I wouldn't be too worried, just like the other consoles they'll push it the best they can
It looks fine to me. I like sturdy equipment that is reliable first and foremost, if it needs to be bigger for better cooling so be it, it can still look nice.
A wiseman once said, if you give them first person hentai, they will cum
You must be new here hahahahahahahahaha
VR doesn't need those games to succeed, it needs its own original experiences to take off... much like how the wii had Wii Sports. Anyone thinking VR has to have CoD has no imagination and doesn't even begin to understand what VR is or can be.
I completely agree, it is crazy. They'll likely make that back on the first movie alone.
I say it will have an online element to push more microtransactions. A long time ago, EA said they want online elements in every single game and so far I think they have kept their word. Even games like DA:I has it and me3 has it, thankfully with ME3 they probably included the scraps of their planned online game and didn't have their microtransaction plan laid out yet, but DA:I sure had them.
The microtransaction train is full steam ahead at EA.
A good PSN sale is still much worse than a boring steam sale.
ultrawides are a different breed though, they are going to be more expensive because they are a specialty thing, that is not mass produced like a TV to drive down costs. And while this one isn't too impressive at 1080p...the good ones are incredible for gaming immersion and general computer usage.
By this point since GTA series likes to parody other trends, they probably have enough material to parody themselves and their greedy love of shark cards.
I say this out of love, because GTA V on PC is a damned masterpiece, they absolutely nailed it, but doesn't look like it's getting any single player love, which is most important to me. Online is okay if you have a good group to play with, but it is repetitive, you just have to love dicking around, and the never end...
I was kinda looking forward to that 90s Arcade Racer game, but updates are few and far between. It's also mostly been hyped for Wii U, though it was supposed to come out for PC too. I always intended to get it for PC, but kinda bad the game probably needs to sell copies but picked the console with lowest install base, maybe it can be successful in spite of that and release later elsewhere.
Funny enough Wii U has 2 awesome looking arcade racers in that game and fast racing...
@anyone disagreeing with moldy
the dude has a contract with Sony... he's not going to say anything negative to the only one giving him money.
