Sales are okay in North America and the UK, but outside of that sales are fairly abysmal. However, the huge Xbox One discounts for Black Friday are doing a good job in pushing sales.
I expect PS4 and especially Xbox One sales to be down by a huge amount in 2020.
Handheld and home console. The regular Switch really is a hybrid console.
A lot of Black Friday deals for the consoles are already available and all appear to be selling really well. The VGChartz Black Friday week hardware estimates will be posted sometime later next week.

PlayStation 4...
You are not alone. It sold over 150 million lifetime. Only the PS2 has sold better.
It's my first non-first gen Pokemon game and I'm enjoying it. I've only played Blue, Yellow and Let's Go Eevee. If you've played them all I'd still say it's probably worth it.
Japan loves their handhelds and the Switch is the only "handheld" on the market. Other than 3DS which is on its way out.
I don't think many people would have thought the Switch would outsell the lifetime sales of the Xbox One as quickly as it did.

Xbox 360 had decent first part my support in its first few years. After that it's been all Halo, Gears and Forza. Everwild and Grounded have me interested. AoE4 looks good from the little bit we saw.
It's been rumored that Playground Games is developing a new Fable game. If true it will be in development for a couple years already. Playground is best known for developing the Forza Horizon games.
Halo was THE reason to buy an Xbox back in the day.
I am still hoping out for a new Fable game.

@MasterCornholio I agree the Scarlett needs to be more of a success than the Xbox One. Halo Infinite has a launch title is similar to what Nintendo did with Breath of the Wild having it on both generations. I do expect the next Forza to be cross-gen and be a launch title for the Scarlett. Microsoft needs to have more heavy hitters after launch than the Xbox One did. If I remember correctly the Xbox One had Titanfall, yearly Forza and Halo MCC in in 2014.
They have tripled the number of first-party studios, so they appear to be making more of an effort for next generation than they did for the Xbox One.
Looks like Microsoft has given up on this generation and is focused on making sure Xbox Scarlett has more (consoles) exclusives than the Xbox One did.
VGChartz lifetime estimated sales through October 2019:
-PlayStation 4: 101,342,408
-Xbox One: 43,635,526
-Switch: 40,736,064
October 2019 estimated sales:
-Switch: 1,322,878
-PlayStation 4: 855,422
-Xbox One: 222,466
Switch will likely surpass the Xbox One in the next couple of weeks.
