The world doesn't revolve around videogames. Why does defending 3D mean "pro-Sony" to non-fans the world over? The best TV brands on the market all have 3D as a standard now. Unless you're buying entry level garbage, pretty much every 2012 SmartTV for $1000 and up has 3D.

wOw. XBox has 3D too. Gears of War 3 sold over 5 million copies, the 360's biggest game of 2011 was 3D enabled. Wasn't for Sony's benefit.
For being such a charachter driven story, any DLC that introduced a new playable charachter shoulda been included. Zaeed, Kasumi, Javik, Liara -her only playable appearance in ME2 being Lair of the Shadow Broker-
ME3 without Javik's social commentary ain't the same. He had more cutscenes and dialogue in ME3 than any returning ME2 charachter save for Mordin. Zaeed, Kelly, Miranda, Thane, Jacob, Legion, Grunt, Samara, Kasumi...probably combined.

Arkham City open world vs Uncharted linear small box? Arkham City's claustrophobic at street level, its compressed snapshot of Gotham isn't true open world. MS spent years advertising Mass Effect as being a feather in the 360 cap, the definitive experience on the 360, best if not only place to play the entire trilogy. Even the ME3 box boasts "better with Kinect". They milked having ME1 for all it was worth. They didn't let anything go for "the greater good of gaming" LOL.

Gears started the HD era? Uhh...pretty sure there were HD games out there in the year before Gears1 even launched. Or are you saying the 360's first year was all sub-HD? Resistance FOM was a launch title for PS3 in 2006, same week that Gears launched, and was as HD as anything else. Halo 3 didn't even run at native 720p a year later. Easy with the 360 inventing HD subtext.

RE Code Veronica HD was a terrible HD port, and Degeneration was a terrible CG movie. RE1-3 however are preserved in their original forms and remain classics. No brainer. The only thing that would have sweetened the deal even more would have been to include Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles on the PS3 side.

A sales flop would be more like The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings for the 360. One of the -highest rated- AAA budget games of the year on meta and it sold less than Twisted Metal. Now THAT'S a sales flop.

Twisted Metal & Starhawk -are- good, especially for niche titles. What were you expecting from car combat? They're both online vehicle combat games with high 70's avgs on meta. Easy killa. NinjaGaiden3 got in the 50's.
Ratchet and Clank All4One isn't even a year old yet. Likewise Walking Dead:Episode 2 is barely a month old. The free minis they wheel, like Velocity, are pretty much free at launch.
Would you rather good games that are old, simply be lost and relegated to out of stock rotting hardware? Perfectly possible imo to enjoy old games along with the new, especially when they're brought up to standard.
We definitely do need more new stealth and survival horror these days though. Everything's turning into action shooter, from Res Evil and Dead Space to Splinter Cell. It's no wonder the hottest game the past few weeks has been 4 year old MGS4.
