You mean like painting everyone with the same brush? That happens a lot here too. One person once upon a time loves IGN the same week he hates it, and suddenly it means everyone is "that guy".
Maybe Journey really -is- a good game, and IGN knows it. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Your comment history betrays you blaze. Predictably instead of legit critical stinkers like Amy, Ninja Daiden 3, both 2012 Resident Evils and various motion controlled shovelware, the first comment in this thread goes straight to PS3 exclusives that aren't even in the article.
Article is equally clueless. FarCry3? Movin' on...
@j-blaze
Not really.
Fable: The Journey estimates are only 100,000 on vgchartz. Fable is one of MS' TOP franchises beside Gears/Halo/Forza. Sorcery is a new IP yet still sold more than Fable: The Journey with estimates at 140,000 despite a smaller PS Move install base. Even the beleagured Starhawk almost doubled it in sales.
What about the Witcher 2 on 360? A console exclusive and one of the highest rated this year that only sold 56...
IGN never said it looked worse! They haven't even reviewed it yet as of this morning. Colin just made a tweet about frame drops, never said it was worse though. The 360 version dropped like crazy and also had bad pop in and screen tearing, whereas now its v-synced. Not sure where you got that from.
One of the producers themselves said:
"We got some huge gains in performance – especially with regard to texture popping, which has been dramatically improved....
If the game cover says "only on Playstation", it should count. Kinda speaks for itself.
So crossplay between the PS3 and the Vita is now being held against Sony?! For real? You're saying a game with Playstation in the title -Playstation AllStars- isn't an exclusive? Comparing it to 3rd party games like Mark of the Ninja which you can get on a PC...is just ridiculous.
Okami HD is only available on PS3 btw. The 2012 HD release isn't available for 360, PC or any handhelds. Why shouldn't it count?
"Now, it’s true that some of these problems were apparent in the original Xbox 360 release of Mass Effect 1..."
Ummm, no. ALL OF THESE were problems on the original XBox 360 release of Mass Effect 1. Go play it, and bring some popcorn for the long elevator rides. The game was bogged down on the 360, the more enemies the worse it got. Frames were always hit hard.

lensoftruth? Umm...about that:
Watch the 3rd video clip from the bottom, the PS3 vs 360.
Watch the screen tear ticker on the bottom right hand corner of the two systems, you can CLEARLY SEE the 360 version numbers on the right side TEARING like crazy, especially during the first several seconds of the vid'. All the while the PS3 stays at exactly zero tears.
This continues throughout...fast forward to one minute and just watch as the...
Portable Ops is canon and the true sequel to MGS3, where Big Boss meets Campbell and Frank Jaeger for the first time, Foxhound is born, Big Boss gets the money to build Outer Heaven, and Ocelot steals back Volgin's philosophers legacy. They show clips of Portable Ops as flashbacks in MGS4. If they're not complaining about missing out, they should be.
@allwrong
And MAG has 256 players.

"This just sounds like a recipe for disaster, as I am reminded of Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception. I regard Uncharted‘s online play as a crash and burn"
LMAO. If a game with a 92/100 meta avg and an online community thriving enough that they added 50 additional online trophies http://ca.ign.com/articles/... for it, if that reminds you of a disaster, you need h...
The fact that a grown man wrote this, pining for his broken system and achievements, is kinda pathetic. Might be time to quit blogging, get a better job and buy -both- consoles?
Who's bitching about trophies in 2012 anyways? Not as good as achievements? Maybe to a fanboy. They're the exact same concept. Kicker is he's calling the inferior afterthought one the one that has platinum bonuses --that don't go away when DLC comes unlike the completed game status o...
It (game journalism) is an industry run by man-children, what do you expect? If these writers were any good at what they did, they'd have real jobs and wouldn't be bitching about Crash Bandicoot's glory days from 15 years ago and what defines "playstation flavor". Everyone else hopefully still remembers that games are supposed to be fun.
The game's good. If you don't like it that's your problem.
Game journalism = "what went wrong". Game's out for like 2 days, articles are already being written and cached to drop based on little to no information.
"Game sold X in one country in its first 5 min"...what's your point sixaxis? It won't even be out in Japan until next year. You just know someone's gonna see the zero in that column on vgchartz in...
Gamespot's been lowballing everything new and good lately except for Halo, not that they could lowball Halo since MS now owns their soul via app on XBL. Conflict of interest much, lol? Guess they just need some clicks and ad revenue. Walking Dead ain't been a 7.5 all year
Not even just GT and GS...but PC Gamers, Inc Gamers, VideoGamer, Eurogamer, Edge, Machinima etc that all make the same points about the broken checkpoint/save system and the sacrifice of open world freedom for a linear, bad narrative. Sometimes where there's smoke, there's fire. Not sure what to think right now.
I'd stick Manhunt on there. It's a freaking snuff film, just oozes a depraved atmosphere through sight, sound and executions. One of the most controversial games last gen'.
Lmao! Now I've heard everything, we're measuring rainbows VS unicorns.
"Yeah on this console the game was V-Synced and had less jaggies, but on -this- console, you can clearly see the dev' implemented more "fun" into the framerate giving it the edge during scenes with lots going on. I'm going with the 'Joy-synced' version!"
or download 1.03, out now.
I do. They launched a -full year- after the 360 and have closed a 10 million gap to parity. Do the math.
COD is multiplat and sales pass 10 mil' every year on both consoles. Non-issue.
They should ban clothes too, that way no one can carry a concealed weapon anymore. Not 'comfortably' anyway, lol.
"...In his defense, making popcorn and taking showers doesn't really make people think about killing..."
Flush the toilet while I'm taking said shower and I'd probably make a case for it. ;)
