You're pretty much describing every collector's edition console ever. People interested in these things are often either collectors who will pay for another console just to have it (and clearly have a lot of disposable income), or new adopters who just happen to like the design and/or want the system to play that game.
Either way it's a good marketing technique for a particular game. Even if people don't want to buy the collector's edition console, jus...
I agree that exclusives matter. Except, this isn't an article that compares the sales figures between exclusives and multiplats. It just lists the top 10 selling PS4 games, and the top 10 selling PS4 exclusives. There's no inference beyond that. There's not much to work with for either trolls or defenders. I mean, I'm not going to underestimate the internet's ability to try, but there really isn't any grand narrative going on here. It's just two figure-free l...
Oh good. I've been wondering when I would get my next Gamingbolt "Says Dev" fix. /s
Not all climate change deniers are Flat-Earthers. In-fact, the vast majority of them are people who just happen to live in certain regions or work in certain industries (or know someone who does), whose livelihood can be crippled by some environmental initiatives. I don't hold the view that one should turn away from the truth if it's inconvenient simply because it's a difficult pill to swallow, but I do know why a lot of conservatives deny climate change. I personally think the...
I'm glad level-headed conservatives exist. So many conservatives are so focused on denying climate-change or at least the hand humans have in it until they're blue in the face simply because if true it's highly inconvenient for them that they fail to realize that there's actually plenty of room to acknowledge climate change and the impacts of human activity while still holding to conservative values, and they would get far more credit for their intelligence while they're ...
I don't know what "carbon neutral" means but although I agree there's a climate crisis, I don't know how much of an impact this will have and I have a hard time believing MS of all companies actually cares about the environment. It seems more like MS is trying to find a creative gimmick to sell more consoles.
Way better than owning your games or at least not having to connect to a data center to use them? I doubt it.
Yes!
What bugs? Horizon has to be the least buggy open world game I've played.
I got excited by the headline...then I saw that it's for Apple Arcade. I'll pass.
This and the lack of red or black options just make it that much clearer that I'm best off sticking to the full-featured Switch.
A Kojima rabbit hole.
I'll play it.
Agreed. I prefer Marvel over DC but Batman over everything else.
Did the author really play Horizon, or did he just watch a few YouTube vids from various points in the game and just call it a day? Almost all of this is explained and you really don't have to even pay that close attention.
People who buy this PoS are suckers. At least with a real Switch replacing these is easy (albeit a little expensive).
A remake of a beloved classic? I can’t imagine why that would sell so well. /s In all seriousness though, that’s great!
😂
It’s the beginning of a non-exclusive era for MS. What’s with all these “thing MS who’s in third place is doing could be the industry standard going forward” articles?
I did miss that article about them, thanks. Sony clearly has a similar mindset then, but this is an article about what MS is doing and Sony doing something similar does not mean MS isn't doing it. Why do fanboys think every comment is about comparison between the two consoles?
