Unfortunately it's almost as if fighting games were made for these kinds of practices. Characters, modes, stages, costumes and even frame data are all things that can be sold post-release for some extra revenue. The genre is built on content that can be sold in blocks, small or large. We're in an age now where companies will do anything to make some extra cash, but with fighting games the devs don't even have to bend over backwards and specially design the game to make that hap...
Same here. I'm planning on picking this game up eventually, but I've held off so far as I just don't like the way this game has been handled, from characters being held hostage to entire modes missing. I'd say I miss the old Tekken games that were complete upon release but I still have those games so...screw 7.
More unannounced games for me to ignore? Meh.
Well, missing a release window can be problematic from a business standpoint. That's a point in time where not only is the game not on sale and therefore, not generating income, but a time when devs still need to be paid to continue working on it.
Also, we live in the age of instant gratification, as well as an age where information is freely distributed. A game often has a projected release date that's shared with the public, which in turn prompts the dev or publ...
Serves it right. Make a better game next time, Ubisoft. I'd like to have a word with the morons who bought NBA 2K20, but at least few enough people were braindead enough to purchase this.
You're in subjective territory, but if you're going to poke a hornet's nest you had best be prepared.
Meh. He could have saved himself years of harassment if he just gave the green light for localizing the game. I guess Doug Bowser will be harassed about this now too.
Thats...not how power works, at all. Someone would have built an ultra-powerful device beyond comprehension years ago if all they had to do was run a bunch of systems in parallel to power it and had the space to make that happen. For example, a CPU that's twice as powerful as another cannot be simulated by simply having two of the less powerful CPU running in tandem, and that's to say nothing about the other components of a system.
In any case, the Switch is clear...
I’m disappointed they didn’t just blur it out. That would have been an amusing case of unnecessary censorship.
Um...no. The PS4 has plenty of other exclusives, and it's still a console exclusive so if anyone wants to play it on a console, that console will have to be the PS4. Also, it's a timed exclusive as to my understanding it's not coming to PC for a while.
Anyone who hasn't checked this out already should now. It's definitely worth it.
I plan to be. I'll probably be tired of living by that point, but people do not spontaneously combust and I'm not suicidal, so I'll probably have to endure at least another couple decades of life after that. At least I'll have the latest PlayStation to make it that much more tolerable.
Sweet! So much for dedicated hardware being on the way out.
Aw...now people will have to wait to get to the MT casino. Why are people even buying this?
I like spoofs on Oregon Trail. It will be difficult to top Organ Trail but I'll give this a shot.
Well, it's Monday, so I guess it's time for another one of these articles. And no, it's not a future I support.
They see dollar signs. I mean, companies in general are in business thanks to their fans, but historically most at least pretended to care about their fans. It seems nowadays more and more of the big name studios have chosen to drop the act and make it quite clear that we're a means to an end. All the more reason why I don't support them anymore.
I'd much rather cross the PS5 bridge first. If there is more than one SKU I'll pre-order the best one, but beyond that I'm sure as heck not ready to think of an upgrade to something that isn't even out yet.
And I thought I got a deal when I picked it up for $25CAD. Ok, I did, but this is even better even when converted into Canadian dollars. Granted, with shipping...ok, the point is people in the US are getting a deal.
Sounds like this guy is a casual if he doesn't think the PSP's vast library was any good (and refuses to acknowledge that PSP games were the closest one could get to AAA handheld gaming at the time). I don't take casuals seriously, especially when they try to argue that I should check out something I don't want. Also, he only acknowledges a couple of the Stadia's shortcomings and barely at that. That and who really wants to support the direction this will lead the indus...
