People like us who play games are apparently not the target audience here. I’m pretty sure the actual target audience would much rather keep playing Toon Blast on their phones than shell out for a more dedicated device though, so I don’t see this doing very well.
Short answer: no. Long answer: I would prefer that to streaming only, but I would still miss owning physical media, and I certainly don't want to give companies any more control than they should have for the distribution of my games.
What's with all the articles about this lately? How long has it been since we've had trophies and achievements again? I think well over a decade now. No, we don't need them, but they're nice to have. I mean, if you don't like them you can just ignore them. Others who enjoy them can use them to extend the replay value of their games. I really don't see the downside here. I have and continue to own platforms that don't have them and that hasn't put me off ...
Everyone knows that wars are now fought by disagreeing with one another on Twitter. /s I wonder what a card that reflects that would look like? Oh, I know. A troll.
$9.04 million before accounting for exchange rate (as that's a figure I don't feel like looking up) probably isn't debilitating but it would be far better to not have that debt.
Let's hope that's all it is. I'm sure Persona 5: Royal will give them a much needed boost in revenue and I'm going to help with that.
You could get a PS4 you know. Just saying. It's been almost six years since it launched.
I have a similar setup except I mostly use my PS4 and my laptop is great for PC exclusives on Steam and occasionally GoG, and the occasional title that's clearly way cheaper on PC than on PS4. I even got lucky and scored the Amnesia Collection for free on Humble Bundle after contemplating paying $40 for it on PS4. I don't have a high-end laptop mind you. I went with the best compromise of price and value a few years ago and even got this roughly $1000CAD device on sale during Boxin...
Yeah, if anyone is patient it's Xbox's fanbase. They have to put up with a lack of exclusives and anxiously await any dribble of content that comes their way. On top of that they have to put up with all this subscription BS. I don't think air quotes are necessary here as they're clearly some of the most patient people there are. The company behind their beloved Xbox brand on the other hand...
Are you sure you're not confusing patience with...just moving at a glacial pace? For someone so "patient" Phil sure talks a lot. I sure as heck wouldn't compare MS to a cat lying in wait as the latter is way more clandestine.
There is no era of subscription-based cloud gaming coming unless the consumer wills it. It may become more prominent and co-exist alongside other more traditional methods of game distribution, but calling it an era-defining shift r...
That's probably because the PS4 and XB1 are way too similar, and it really comes down to which exclusives one would prefer to have. Sales figures indicate which is the more popular choice.
I mean, I for one have always thought of the Switch as a good companion system rather than a primary system, so there's that. Sales are still sales though, and it seems to be working for Nintendo. It's doubtful however, that they will catch the PS4 in sales as that's a really high benchmark to reach.
Unless MS actually makes proper use of all those new studio acquisitions beyond just one title for a change, and manages to pull off a miracle on top of that, Sony has no true rival. Google? RoFL. The Stadia will make the Xbox Scarlet's sales figures look fantastic by comparison. Nintendo has been moving more systems than MS for quite a while now, but their market is a little bit different.
At least Sony isn't getting complacent though. A company that acknowled...
Yeah, SEGA owns Atlus, so Sony can't buy them. I think Atlus was at their best when they were independent, personally, and I haven't been as big on them lately as I was in the mid-late 2000s. Perhaps Sony could do better with them, but I liked the Atlus who only had themselves to answer to. At least there's now an easy path for SEGA IPs to be localized.
Well, knowing Sony they will actually use those developers, and let them work independently, so I support this.
Given that the games being censored seem to all be Japanese games, and Japan not only passed legislation in 2014 that restricts sexual content in media, but had a "no hentai on consoles" rule well before that, even in cases where I can't personally verify from my own experience, I can confidently say that the stuff being censored is generally softcore at most, and I really mean at most.
I am not thrilled about Sony's new censorship rules and hope they drop...
I don't think the RPG aspect is why this series is so popular. I mean, it works as a child's first RPG of course, but the battle system was never all that complex, and who's ever heard of an RPG where the player can run from what is essentially a boss battle? Nah, it clearly appeals more for the catching aspect as well as exploring the game's world. I'm more into Persona/Megaten personally, but some games in the latter franchise may make kids cry and if nothing else, Po...
How much vodka did this Russian official have before saying that?
Nice. I was looking for more reasons not to buy this.
If you don’t want to be regarded as a bad guy, don’t be a bad guy. Sure, I feel bad for the employees who might actually be great people, but the suits in charge are bad guys no matter how you cut it. Cigar smoking, backroom dealing bad guys.
