Oh, it's another one of those one item per page lists. I'll pass.
That's why I like to hold off on judging a system until I can do it in hindsight. Whatever is the most current system I own of a particular type will obviously get a lot of use as it's a source of new games, but only in retrospect can I definitively say how its library stacks up with those of other systems.
Don't you worry, game consoles will not turn obsolete in the foreseeable future, no matter how much some companies who will remain nameless (mostly because they haven't earned the right to be named) might wish them away.
So...the holiday season will be business as usual for them.
They don't need to, but they can. A lot of good comes from them acquiring studios.
I can't imagine why anyone would be interested in this thing. As it lacks exclusives it has zero appeal to hardcore gamers, because who wouldn't rather have a system that plays more games? As it's not a phone, I don't see it appealing much to casuals either. While subscriptions are a part of owning a console for many, the Stadia won't even work, period, without one. Who wants that?
No one with half a brain is going to look at the system's price...
What troubled times for consoles? How is a product that has yet to prove itself in the gaming market and has so much working against it going to spell doom for consoles? Do people even hear themselves think? How much money does Google pay these journalists to spew their BS?
In any case, I know exactly what Sony and MS need to do. Release consoles. If they do that then in all likelihood they will have already combated the Stadia.
We actually did. Sure, he was a blank slate at the time and all we knew was that our previous PM had to go, but we did indeed vote a moron in. A different kind of moron than the country to the south of us, but a moron nonetheless. Oh well, here's hoping Canadians have the sense to send him packing this next election. Stupidity is stupidity regardless of political standing, but I think I know what yours is if you turn a blind eye to Trudeau's nonsense.
I feel for US gamers, although you've got things pretty sweet with your $60 new release price tags. Maybe someone in the US can elucidate about whether the US is still better or now worse than other countries for how expensive gaming is becoming, because I sure as heck don't know. Oh, and don't lecture me about exchange rate unless you've calculated out wages and can determine whether gamers in other countries are making more of their currency to compensate, or less where ap...
I mean, this is more than they were doing before, so I'll take it. At least they're good collections, and most importantly, these games can be played on modern systems now. But, yeah, at least Capcom also releases new games in addition to their occasional collections. Konami just wants to rake in money while putting in as little effort as possible.
Nintendo, the company that has never stuck with a single controller for more than a gen unless you count the many Gamecube controllers adapted for more recent systems? Yeah, sure.
So...it's a handheld. We already knew this, but ok. I suppose any company should promote their best assets and the Switch doesn't have the power its competitors do, so sure.
It really depends on the game a dev is trying to make. Narrative is as important as they make it. If they have a very basic story or nothing at all because the game is very gameplay-centric, then cool. If the story is the cornerstone of the game, then that's cool too. What's important is that no matter what elements the game has and what it focuses on, it all comes together in a satisfying whole.
So...this is just a collection of Return to Arkham and Arkham Knight. It's too bad Origins was made by a different studio as that will never be included in a collection like this. I can understand omitting Blackgate, but any collection that doesn't at least include Origins doesn't feel complete IMHO. Good thing I already own the whole set, in their original form (PS3 discs, a PS Vita cart of Blakgate, and a PS4 disc of Arkham Knight).
I've never heard of this company, so what their CEO thinks is very important to me. /s Also, the Stadia is a PoS and I'm not buying it.
I've seen the films and actually used to really like them. They just don't hold a candle to the games IMHO. I can list all the reasons why, but I'm not going to.
I apologize if I don't spend enough time "educating" myself on where certain things originated, but I have other interests besides learning the ins and outs of superheroes (or vigilantes I guess in Batman's case). I feel like in another life I would be a big superhero/comic book fan...
I like them both, personally. They're both about the weight of responsibility that comes with being a superhero and the thanklessness that comes with no one knowing they're the ones who wear that costume. They both tackle it a different way, as Bruce is rich but doesn't have any actual super-powers, while Peter has super-powers but has to deal with everyday mundane things, and both characters at times have difficulty navigating everyday life. I guess it depends on who appeals t...
I see. I've never really followed the super-sentai genre, but yeah I can see why a culture who likes stories about average people becoming heroes and the impact that has on their lives would like Spiderman. It's kind of odd to think of him standing next to some very strange heroes, like the one who wears girls' panties as his face mask and knocks enemies out using his jock strap (and apparently that has a live action movie).
There's some very strange stu...
Because other consoles have a smaller user base and owners of those other systems are crying about wanting to connect to that. It's a neat feature, sure, but life goes on without it. Not having it certainly isn't the game-breaker that the third-rate media is making it out to be.
It needs to be released. I think sales will speak for themselves when that happens.
