What I find hilarious is the comparison to a car. He compared an engine to OtherOS like it was the driving feature that made the PS3 work. Losing OtherOS is like losing a pair of spinning rims, not like losing the engine.
This is still retarded, and nobody is actually going to be able to get any money from this. OtherOS is a feature that is underused, nobody wanted it, and now it's gone. Not to mention it most definitely helped with Security issues. And yes, it did.
I really wonder exactly what this means. New features in the making? Servers being handled by SNEA just for the PSStore to increase online play in other games (or opposite)?
Or maybe it's as basic as it looks and there is no need to look into it.
Anyways, I guess we'll just wait to find out more of everything at E3.
I don't know why everyone is against this. If they went the route of Generation Kill and made it more story based, then I'm all for it. Keep what makes FPS's fun, but give it an interesting story.
Seeing as they have David Cage looking over it, it'll be nicely story based with a proper take on human emotion.
The only reason I find this interesting is because IGN totally just lied to everybody about what Crysis 2 was like on PS3. Saying there was a noticeable difference in framerate and graphics. What a bunch of silly bastards, but I guess that's what happens when you get paid by Microsoft. They give you a show on XboxLive, you defy hundreds of gamers who read your reviews.
Gaming sure is dropping fast ever since this generation started. Although I credit Microsoft for that on...
Well this sort of makes sense given that the players will be much less. If they kept the same maps with a fraction of the players, that'd be a complete waste. Everyone would find one choke point (given the player count) and they'd just battle there anyways.
As for vehicles, I'm sure that Rush mode, or whatever it was called, from Bad Company will return. Therefore you can use whatever vehicle you want since the maps are 'longer'.
It's...
My thoughts on this is that the first one will be MGS4 Subwhatever, since that is LONG overdue.
And of course it'll come with a Story Theater mode, some new way to play the main story, VR Missions of some type allowing you to complete a number of challenges with more characters than just Snake, and trophies (obviously).
I wouldn't put it past Kojima to also throw in a boss mode that allows you to fight bosses from MGS1-4 all upscaled to fit in, with M...
I'm pretty sure they did that on purpose. It's kind of like a "You called the so-and-so one better? Guess what, it was actually so-and-so".
Basically, I think G4 is trying to say THEY BOTH LOOK THE SAME. It's also equal to spitting in IGN's face. Rightfully so.
Cliffy B should focus on making good games rather than running his mouth. Honestly, I thought he was a pretty decent guy at one point, now he's just getting incredibly annoying.
He's like that little outspoken kid in highschool everyone loves to hate.
If anyone doesn't say Battlefield 3 they're in denial.
After you get passed the fact that Battlefield 3 most likely has a much higher polygon count and more going on at once, it all just becomes a matter of taste.
I don't know, those graphics look amazing. Not to mention those are "newborn nextgen" graphics. So they'll only improve from there.
I'm digging the looks of these.
Damn straight it will be and it better stay that way.
I could care less for things like auto-aim or easy difficulties. All I want is them to stay incredibly true to the gritty realism of war.
If they change anything because the media doesn't like it, I'll be quite upset with them. The game will sell regardless.
Can someone please tell me the point of this game? Like, is climbing blocks and socializing the only thing you do in this game?
Well they did say PC was their lead platform. So we'll most likely only be seeing the PC version until summer. That's my guess.
I'm glad to see this happening though. Complete the game fully on PC first, THEN port it to consoles.
Maybe this'll even be the first ever multiplat to take advantage of the PS3's hardware. Only time will tell.
This game looks amazing. I think if they nail the feeling of a real battlefield, I'll eat this game up and so far it looks to do the trick.
I'm really starting to lose interest in the arcade shooter experience. But we'll have to see if DICE want to cater to the "VIDEO GAMES SHOULD ONLY BE FUN, EFF REALISM", or the crowd that wants advancements in their videogames.

You should google it before you doubt someone. It's on their official blog you dunce.
I agree with you on the cover system. I see no reason as to why they didn't put it in since you can't corner peak. If I remember correctly from the single player, if you can see the enemy, he can see you. So cheap tactics wouldn't be an issue.
Not to mention slide should have been in there too.
Once again, balance wouldn't be a problem since it balances itself out. You can't shoot while sliding.
They definitely missed their chance ...
Wow, this guy pretty much nailed it on the head. He even had a counter for better game balance. Although I do get why GG made Tactician have the Spot and Mark ability (he's supposed to direct the battle), I think this switch is fine too.
But we'll see if GG will figure out how to balance or move things around themselves. I'm sure we'll be getting more huge, game changing patches in the future.
Ha! Exactly what I was going to say. Why cry about something that is absolutely optional? Also, it's not unknown that sometimes Bi-Sexual/Gay people (Men or Women) will sometimes attempt to hit on Straight people.
Especially since I'm pretty sure there weren't standards back then that we have now when it comes to who can sleep with who.
