LOL...so now we're bringing Turn10 into this? O.K....
I suppose it's perfectly fine that Polyphony Digital...for the past 3 generations...has continually thumped their collective chest, while proclaiming GT is "the ultimate racing sim"...amiright???
GTFO >>>>>
...it sold about 3.5 million, PC+360
Poor little whineyass Sony BlTCH. :(
...weapons from the toolshed: sickle, 2-headed axe, garden weasel, sledge hammer...to make it seem more plausible (zombie infestation notwithstanding of course). ;)
That was something that felt off about Dead Rising AND L4D. These weapons and ammo were just conveniently placed all over the maps...but who the hell put them there? Sure, DR at least had all of the awesome props and toolshed type of weapons...but the guns felt really out of place. If you're going to give me guns...
They should release the game in 2 forms, under 2 names:
Left 4 Dead 2: Retail disc only.
Left 4 Dead: Episode 2 : Download only
That way, those who don't fvcking care that they're getting an awesome sequel, without the wait, can go ahead and buy the disc. Those that feel less "cheated" because they get to download more content, instead of getting a disc, can feel satisfied. Everybody wins!
Seriously, these pathetic, disgruntle...
Like I said....
Yes, I've seen the videos. Do you not comprehend what I'm saying? Do you not realize that's not even a new idea? 'Frontlines: Fuel of War' tried very similar things, just with 60 players, instead of 256. Squads (even mini-squads, with isolated voice comms), capturing spawn points, multiple classes, the ability to choose different spawn points once they've been captured....there's very little "new" about M.A.G. to be honest. I'm just saying the more...
Not even CLOSE. Although, it's sales on the PS3 have equalled or surpassed most 1st party or 2nd party exclusives...but Sony's to blame for that.
If they were gonna pick a 3rd party title to help move consoles and promote a price drop, I don't think it would be Madden. 2009 only sold about 1.5 million on PS3, vs. 2.5 on 360. I think EA would be hesitant to bank on Sony helping them move Madden 2010.
I've seen the videos. That doesn't solve the problem...just potentially introduces new ones.
Again...this game hasn't been put through a "real" test. There are literally MILLIONS of gamers out there just DYING to break this game....it's just their nature. They're the same people who waited in line for hours....even days...to purchase Halo 2&3, COD4, Gears, etc.....only so they could skip the SP campaign COMPLETELY, and be the first to find glitches and spawn expl...
...respawns. THAT is the biggest problem I foresee for M.A.G. I know there won't be any full on 256 player free-for-all matches, but there will still be a ton of people on different teams, within range of somebody's crosshairs. Every shooter ever made has had problems with handling respawns....no matter what they tried. Spawn shields don't work, randomness doesn't work, Home Base respawns never work right.. Anything larger than 8-on-8 always ends up being a "spawn-die-spawn-die-...
...that video link doesn't work. And I've never heard ANYTHING about the PSeye having facial recognition, or voice recognition...so no.
Yeah, that was a pretty lame attempt at trolling...but the funny thing is, he really just trolled on Sony in the process. We all know the PS2 was the weak link in cross-platform games last gen. ;)
It's a good thing they left that sucker (literally) in the proverbial oven a while longer. Instead of "dildo controller", we'd be stuck with "king-size Jawbreaker sucker controller". Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. :p
Yeah, dummy...don't you know XB is the universal nickname for the N64. Geez....EVERYBODY knows that. :o
I never SAID "by Valve", now DID I? Try READING next time. ;)
1.) Sony CAN'T go download-only with PS3 games, because:
a.) That would only serve to hurt Blu-ray as a "necessary innovation" and
b.) The games are too large for downloading.
2.) Sony is already proving Microsoft was right, when they said the "future of gaming and other entertainment is in digital distribution", by continuing to offer more and more via PSN. NOW they're going one step further, by dropping YET ANOTHER failed proprietary ...
Something like that, yeah. :D
The 360 version gets more polish time, and will be the superior version.
Isn't that what the Sony fanboys always say? ;)
I just find it sad...or maybe hilarious...that Sony is banking so much on a 3rd party title, while leaving their "AAA exclusives" hanging out twisting in the wind, with no marketing. Very strange.
...and it's a fvcking blast. If you liked 'Hulk: Ultimate Destruction', and/or Crackdown, you'll love this. This is the game they WANTED to make with H:UD, but couldn't, because of the Hulk license, and hardware limitations.
