Right...the evolution of the "mood music" or cinematic score-type music is fine as long as the melodic music of old doesn't fade into obscurity. It already is, and that is unfortunate.

We're all ready for next gen. Consoles are a staple in homes these days. Nintendo just fell off the wagon. It's gonna be a 2 man show, maybe 3 if Steam plays their cards right.

Haha "we need diverse developers to appeal to a wider audience" - That's like saying birds need wings to fly.

Jaleel White is Sonic. Nothing will ever change my mind. He is Urkel and Sonic. Period.

I wondered when this structure was going to be adopted by a game company. Why not offer up your alpha build for open testing, use what you learn from users to enhance into a beta build, then give those initial users the final product, in all its glory, for free.

This is the first I''ve HEARD of such a structure (perhaps there are more, I am not a PC gamer) and I think it could only be of great benefit to developers/publishers who use it.

Good stuff, I...

Isn't it? Please show me where the 4-guns/combo system details are besides the link I provided as a credit? Also the stealth system tweaks and, hell, the words from Ashraf Ismail himself? Find these and I shall bit my foot publicly. Linking to that which I already linked to doesn't count :p

Haha this guy has the right IDEA but his presentation is flawed. Great emotion, great LOOK, but in a B-Movie style. NO HATRED MEANT!

Keep doin what you're doin bro, I see some promise there :)

As far as the content, Metacritic is nice but you said it yourself, it tends to pool biased points of view together. Not good. When cookie cutter games (FPS fans you know who you are) are still receiving high scores and the SAME points of detriment to a triple-A tit...

I disagree...it's those little things like jokes and eater eggs that ADD to a Game's artistic presentation.

I can't believe the outcry at this trophy...for God's sake, people, get a sense of humor! So sensitive. "Rated M for Mature." I daresay that maturity includes taking a joke for what it is without painting it as a sexist point of view. Do you REALLY think the developers are sexist? Let it go. It's funny. I laughed out loud when I saw that trophy and am a bit perturbed at Sessler's up-in-arms reaction. I respect the guy's opinions, mostly, but not this one. Let it ...

Bah...it's not the actual interview. Should've filed it under "News." It's quotes directly from the interview with some other info I paraphrased into article form. Sorry for the confusion, I'm new at this N4G thang.

The only question I have is...if GameSpy was shut down because they want to focus more on IGN, then why did IGN have a bunch of layoffs too?

Political garbage designed just to save face. Welcome to the modern "fuck you, love me" era of business.

Allow me to rephrase the title: "Don't suppport gaming, hope that developers and publishers find a way to produce the same quality cheaply."

Hope floats, ladies and gentlemen.

"Trusting" people has led to exactly what the current "distrust" is about. If there are loopholes, people will find it and thus cost them money and a cash pool to draw from for the next big project.

What is the big deal? You accept the TOS and move on. This anti-TOS and anti-DRM attitude of the gaming public only PROVES that they are necessary.

I compare it to the movie industry...rarely does an "Oscar winning" title score hundreds of millions in the box office. If they do, they tend to have big budgets. In gaming, same deal. Sure, Journey was peanuts to make and sold for peanuts...this game has a NEW relevance in gaming and perhaps steals SOME of the thunder of a triple A title.

But the triple As are stilling selling (and hopefully always will sell) MORE copies at a higher price, thus justifying their pro...

While this is a bit disturbing at face value it makes sense to me. Imagine if everyone decided to "gameshare" this game and nothing was in place to prevent that. How many MILLIONS of dollars would that company be out as a result? If we want to continue to play high quality games, those companies need our money to keep putting them out. They are just covering their asses. Let them. They have a right to.

What is the alternative? Don't require the internet connecti...

VERY misleading title...that quote says NOTHING about mandatory, using the words "new connected feature" "better to be...connected" "allow players to" and nowhere does it say "must be" or "mandatory connected".

Shame on you. Site logged and avoided forthwith.

I think this is the last we will see of the stereotypical "God of War" game...that is, I think for their next installment, they''ll be wise to change things up a bit.

Next-gen is going to offer up ALOT of surprises. With the bar raised on what systems are capable of, I am willing to be next-gen games will evolve into something we've never seen before. Namely, art styles will change (since realism in graphics have nearly peaked) and gameplay is going to d...

Too late man...Gamestop sold out of Collector's editions already. I am gonna check Best Buy tomorrow to switch my preorder but I am not hopeful. This is 2013's first blockbuster. Mark it.
