Lazy. Two paragraphs and a copy/paste quote of a press release? I Regret my click.
It's entertaining if you love gaming as a whole. Cringy, but I like seeing how the production improves year over year. If it improves. It did last year.
Keighley using that P.R. bullhorn again. At least he makes good on many of those promises.
A potential 85million user base says "noooope!"
I always thought God of War had a great twist on comic book storytelling. Far from "bad" though. It had moments of substance spread among a lot of cool shit happening. Kinda nails its own atmosphere.
How did that kind of half-thought out, sensationalist editorializing become such a Forbes staple?
Did it illicit a reaction? So, it acted as a hype tool? It's almost as if they know what they're doing.
Translation: "I don't understand literary devices and their impact on the consumer of said content."
@Cupid_Viper_3 - In his defense, this is an editorial and shouldn't be read as reporting. Editorials are still journalism. And unfortunately, overreaction is modern human nature. The only problem with this piece is that it isn't very thoughtful. THAT makes it poor journalism.
Put simple: if you play games to "get gud" at them, over time, you will. If you play them to write a good review or critique its production and content, over time, you will. People in the know, in the industry heed his word. Taking him lightly doesn't make you look wise in light of that...same goes for all of Pachter's detractors.
That's not to say he's a guru but his industry intuition is pretty good compared to all the armchair analysts who think that because they got something right that Michael Pachter got wrong, that's somehow worth an entire portfolio of stock advice.
Even if it is 1.5, it's the next Destiny iteration. Try as you might to find problems with their approach, the audience will - and does - speak for itself. Get them clicks though.
Writer doesn't factor in team size? Shortsighted.
Is this a "How to.." comment for trying but failing to sound like you know what youre talking about? Cuz that's what I got out of it.
That title, captain obvious, could use some work.
The answer is: gamers desire variety. Look for your reason to hate Horizon elsewhere.
Really similar to how Fury Road's soundtrack made a great movie brilliant.
Nice image.
