Not all companies are about buying up everything as some are.. this is a business partnership and Sony secured their fate from a threat of hostile takeover as being stated.
FromSoftware employees were expecting a buyout from Sony. Maybe it’s a something down the line, who knows. But as of now Sony is comfortable being business partners.

The Ghost series would be based off the Legends online game.. I don’t really know what direction they will go with it but I’m sure it would be good. The Ghost of Tsushima live action movie may have been slowed down by the actors strike. But I would like to see some more information on that sooner than later.

The thing with physical media is that you actually own the game. Like I can plug in a PS3/ 360 and play a game like MotorStorm or Lost Oddyssey and even those titles were from 2006 and 2008 respectively. Whose to say that when you buy a game digitally that it will be be playable that long.. that’s my point of view.
Gotta love Microsoft for diverting the issue.. and blaming Sony.. lol.
The Series S has been their Achilles heel.. they make big gambles and this is what they paid for.

I loved Warhawk.. I don’t know who “no one” is.. I bought it day one.. I had about 10 or so friends that played this game religiously on PSN.
One of my favorite CTF moments.. it had a steady player base. Even when they took down the servers they found away to play it and it’s been out for 17 years.

Daxter on PSP was really good title.. but it was developed by Ready at Dawn. Sad to see them bought out and closed.
It’s a crime shame what happened to Socom. If Sony had some sense to them. They would have had multiple teams already developing a proper Socom revival.
Dark Cloud would be a nice addition from the PS2 era but Jak And Daxter sequel or remake would be feasible.
Syphon Filter was actual a good series, even the psp version was fun and the multiplayer was fun too. I know Bend Studios is working on something different but after Days Gone Sony was kind of leaning more towards a Syphon Filter game.. but I still hope for some Days Gone love in the future.
PS3 games that would be nice would be Resistance Fall of Man remak...
If they would do right and make a Socom game to attract the Call of Duty crowd.. they have a lot of potential just seems like they aren’t trying to.. it’s aggravating sometimes. They sit on a lot of great titles and I know you can’t bring everything back.
Socom could be a great fit for Sony. Look at Delta Force.. its been how long since the last game and its people seem to enjoy the beta..

I don’t know the business talk between the two but I’m sure they weren’t going to let someone pick and choose what they wanted and not be bought out all together. The 10% of FromSoftware’s parent company holds more important than the 2 % of shares that Tincent has over Sony in FromSoftware alone.

Sony has a 14% share in FromSoftware and now has a 10% share in Kadokawa. And yes they are their largest shareholder. An alliance will be good for both companies.
This is one of my favorite games of all time also. They crossed all the boxes when they made this game. With a team of 160 people and only cost $60 million. Which compared to SpiderMan 2’s massive inflated cost of $300 million is remarkable.

Xbox had lost its appeal a long time ago. The 360 was its finest moment in gaming even with RROD and their failed attempt of their add on HD DVD. Their fanbase was hardcore. Their Xbox Live service for at least half of the generation was untouched. Games were plentiful up until the end of its cycle.. Even with their 33% death rate (most likely higher) it was still their best attempt of offering a game console.
