I’m all in favor for faster developed games.. that’s been the Achilles heel this gen.. taking 5+ years for development. If it can help with building vast landscapes then let it be. A win win if it doesn’t endanger the jobs of current team. They can help in other areas.
You had fanboys on both sides yes but it was definitely one sided for a while. When PS3 started turning things around is when it started to change. But there were “flame wars” for a long time before and after.
They don’t remember back in 2006-2008 this place was mostly Xbox fanboys.. they acted like you had to kneel and kiss the ring with their brand loyalty..

But I don’t think no one is against Microsoft having a third party licensed piece of hardware. How Microsoft is perceived over the last few years is not just a N4G issue..

Microsoft supposedly is going to have their next console with superior hardware to the PS6 too.. but at a lot higher cost.
Xbox is still a hard sale so if it being more expensive for a couple of frames per second better isn’t going to be worth it. I highly doubt that there will be a significant difference if this is true. It won’t be like ps2 and Xbox level difference or XboxOne and PS4 difference.

But I would like more games. A Super Smash Brothers game won’t be released until 2029 they are saying. That’s a kick in the gut. I wish they had one close at launch like Ultimate.

The games on the catalogue are pretty good.
They got Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok, Spider Man 1, Miles Morales, and I think 2 maybe on there. Returnal is a good game, different and challenging.
Ratchet and Clank, some other titles on PlayStation Catalogue.
Also Ghost of Yotei came out today so I would recommend buying that.
AstroBot is a fun game too.

I remember when these games came out. Great games but unfortunately that’s what happened having Microsoft as a publisher. They didn’t meet the sales expectations and Hironobu Sakaguchi said he wasn’t interested in a sequel. That was around 18 years ago. Can’t believe it’s been that long already.

Me too, when I got my PS5 I played it off PS+, one of my all time favorites. Now I have the Pro.
I got the physical version off of PlayStation Direct and they said it would come on launch day or up to three days before. Definitely won’t be sad to have it before launch lol.
If you actually seen the video more than 30 seconds you would see there was a lot more details added in from the previous title. Or maybe you need to get better glasses that actually work 🤷🏼♂️. Either way it’s a big improvement over for the first. More than just the wind.

I hate waiting until next Thursday for this game, it’s been feeling like a month since I seen the reviews. I’ll definitely be playing in Ray Tracing Pro Mode.. the difference is negligible from Quality Mode.
People don’t understand that disagreeing with the score based on the review given doesn’t mean you blindly disagree and call them trash for a rating that is not fitting.
To me it don’t make sense, if it was better in every way which is a feat for every sequel. How can it be an 8. It’s not a bad rating but 9 or 9.5 to me is more aligned with a better game.
Either way I’m buying this day one. And it doesn’t affect my decision of playing this game.
