The GamePass subscription numbers have slowed down and doesn’t look like it’ll hit that 100-110 million subscribers mark by 2030.. the board of directors are knocking on the door asking for a return on investments.. the best way is to just go multi-platform and offer your GamePass as a service.. been seeing it a mile away for the last year or so...
Gotta love the blind loyalty. We are gamers first.. and all I was stating was usually by now they have a steady flow of first party games and it’s not been the case this gen.

Well sales do matter obviously to them it’s been a bloodbath beating since 2022 when they began to get restocked. And like I mentioned I’m glad they focused on making more ways to play.. they’ve always tried to make new and better ways to play for the gamers.

No they didn’t.. they just asked for timed exclusivity on console.. two totally different. Which that’s been has been a big bargaining chip since the PS3/360 era.
Honestly after Wolverine.. I hope they have one team to take a break from Marvel. And do something different, or I’ll be happy with a Reisistance game.
I know they will work on SliderMan 3 and a Venom game at some point. But they make really fun multiplayer shooter games. It would be nice if they could get back to that.

I agree I like those titles.. obviously I like most first party titles or second and third party titles. Returnal, Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Sackboy, Ratchet and Clank, GT7, Kena: Bridge of Spirits. God of War Ragnorak.

Sales at this point don’t mean as much. I am happy they done well.. they are mainstream.. they try to expand on ways to play with PSVR2 and PlayStation Portal.. they do a good job there but I can’t be the only one disappointed with the lack of games that this generation has had.
It doesn’t feel as excited this gen.. we had great games but they are just so widely spaced out..

Even with PlayStation doing so well this generation it hasn’t been up to par with other generations when looking at the amount of games. It’s been a couple good years, then a big drought. Then a decent year and then more waiting..
it’s just hasn’t been a consistent game cycle that we were so used to with Sony. They aren’t firing on all cylinders but just cruising through..

With all these live service games that are really just a big gamble. Either they are positively accepted or really bad and ignored.
Sony has so many titles that no one ever heard of unless you’ve been a gamer since the 90’s.. Legend of Dragoon was quite the game. I know the turn based rpg is not as mainstream anymore but if they could just find the right team or hire the right people to remake it. It would be great.

It’s Nintendo. It has its own ecosystem. That’s how it will compete with others is because you can only get Nintendo games on their consoles. Also their customers are young kids to adults.

It was a mistake. It offered less ram than the One X it was replacing. It has shared ram for the with the cpu and gpu. And on top of that. The 10 gb your getting you’re only using 8gb.
I admit, my hats off to the devs like MachineGames though. They actually pulled it off, 60fps on the S. Even though it’s a bit downgraded obviously.

It’s not fine for anyone to do it really. Sony offered Bungie another $1 billion to help retain the jobs. The layoffs that happened there really didn’t have a lot to do with being acquired but rather mismanagement from the previous head of Bungie.
And Sony did lay off 900 employee and shutting down studios like London last year.
So did EA , TakeTwo, Ubisoft, Epic games (2023), and other publishers and studios.

What makes Xbox appealing anymore ? The original Xbox was probably my favorite one they released.. playing the burned cd’s on the radio while driving in GTA Vice City was pretty cool and something no one did at the time. Had some great games too.. KOTOR, Jade Empire, and Morrowind just to name a few. Xbox live was superior at that time even up until mid point of the PS3’s life cycle
