I get tired of the same hash about this game. It’s a really good title. Most the people complaining are not the ones who played it. “It’s not a true JRPG”, got it.. it’s an action RPG and does it well. Gameplay was fun, and the story was arguably probably one of finest I’ve seen in a while in a Final Fantasy title.. nothing really bad whatsoever.
Some side missions may have gotten a little redundant like other Final Fantasy games. But it’s a fine piece in my collection of games.

Well when you look at the sales perspective of ps5. It has a big audience selling over a 2 to 1 ratio. It makes money sense.

Of course, there’s more money in mobile gaming, less money to put in development and much smaller scale games to a more available audience since everybody has a phone. That doesn’t necessarily mean console gaming is in a decline because it’s not.

I’m beating a dead horse here… but Resisitance FOM gun lay out was so fun, multiplayer was one of my top favorite experiences. Insomniac nailed it and I would love a remaster and maybe a redo with Reisistance 2. They listens to players who were wanting a Halo killer and it kind of lost its character from the first.

If they are dissatisfied with the sales it’s kind of hard to accomplish the sales from games in 2020 the world was on lock down just about and video games sales were at an all time high. That being said do we know the digital sales of the game?
Insomniac was independent for 4 generations of consoles before they were acquired. They made games for PlayStation (besides sunset overdrive) and did it independently.
Arrowhead games can do the same and continue to make great games for PC/PS5.
Like I said before it sucks right now.. but look at the entire industry.. Microsoft, Google, and even Meta and other tech companies were hit with layoffs. 21,000 so far this year.
And if you count the 10,000+ jobs from Microsoft over the last year it’s above 32,000..
It’s not just one industry but multiple industries hurting. I mean it isn’t hard to find information on a google search.
The industry as whole is restructuring, and there’s no alibi to fix it....
Unfortunately this is happening across the board. London Studio, like Japan Studio I had fond memories of in the ps2 and ps3 era.
Hopefully they can find a way retain talent like they did with Team Asobi from Japan Studio once it was dissolved.
I hope they will get over this rough hunch and look back at it and become stronger.
