At Christmas I read reports of Switch coming out soon and Wii U being hard to get, so I got one off of ebay Nintendo store for $200. My kids who don't really know the difference thought it was awesome as an upgrade for the wii. I finally got to the holy grail of being 1 gen back!
I'm more interested in which 360 games will receive an upgrade. There is a handful of 360 games I go back to from time to time and my kids still use the 360. When a review of which 360 games are improved and in what way then I might give me a reason to consider this kit. I know there has been mention of a more stable frame rate and some games that might have dynamic resolution improvements, but I'll just have to wait for Digital Foundry's report.

Idk about change the industry but I think he means with more power that changes the purchase choice of the pc crowd that happen to be at an upgrade point in the cycle. I for example went 4k before the X1 was even revealed. I played all of the PS360 multi plat games on pc in 4k or 1080/60 but now I'm coming to a point where I need to upgrade my gfx card, already upgraded cpu/mb last year and the rest of the components are fine (psu, case, cooling, etc.).

I have a 1200 receiver and expensive speakers but I just moved them into my new man cave which is really small and the sound seems to be reflecting off of the walls poorly, so I'm thinking of other solutions. Pitiful excuse for a so called article. Anyway the game is in beta so I don't expect it to be optimized. In fact, it seems some textures are being held back. I could run 30pfs at 4k on a titan. Backed down to 1080p 60fps and could max almost everything out. Looks good, plays smooth, I can imagine there will be improvements but I give it a solid A for a beta.

In its current state, yes. But if the headset form factor becomes wide glasses that seal out light and is wireless, then the masses could use them more like Google glasses and not be such a huge kit.
I have the original GearVR and let me stress to those getting ready to spend a bunch on ps4 vr, somehow try before you buy. Gear vr is close enough to get the urge out to understand what the tech is. It's really neat tech but it's in the same gimmicky mold of move and kinect, which I like.

Right I just started me1 a couple weeks ago in 4k and looks and runs great. But I suppose I will just wait for the remaster because if I'm going to spend that much time with a series I want the best it has to offer.
Bingo...something different. Also true at the same time some people don't prefer the gameplay. But I do like games to try something different.
I have the original and yes VR is different and a new fun experience, but not worth more than a free give away. Ive been at 4kpc before the X1 ps4 were even announced and I cant imagine the Rift being much better for the price for the average Joe. Most will prefer couch gaming as its hot, heavy after 30 min and makes neck sore. Plus the quality is a few years from what would make me play more than an hour a week.
