Idk if a rant on grinding belongs in response to this particular article, but I wholeheartedly agree! The good thing is I've got such a backlog I can never buy a thing again and support the grindfest games.
Edit: disregard it must be another game I was thinking about, I confirmed. The words gravity and rush are common to a lot of steam games.
I'll have to check, it seems like I got those games on Steam sales years ago for a few quid.
I bought 22 games the other night for like $75, they were on my with list and I just picked the cheapest ones, around $3-4 each. I stopped when I got to the $5 games, ill get those in the fall sale.
I usually agree, but when i played gta5 on ps3 i was so impressed i decided Rockstar earned their money and I'll pay for this quality. Then rebuy later for 4k60.
Especially now I've moved to staying a few years behind new releasessince my backlog is huge, I get games for 75% off during steam sales.
I actually end up buying more this way than I would beer have at release.
Exactly, I just said to myself, and they just lost a console sale. As I was either going to get a pro or x1x if offered in a bundle.
Hideous. Reads like an elementary school student did this work.
The melee gameplay is bad. The sea stuff is good. It's fun if you don't factor the cost in. Meaning I'd have been but hurt if I spent 30 to 60. At the same time not having it after the trial I do think about it from time to time and get in the mood to play just for fun.
Weird thing is the grinding is so bad it actually turns me off to the game, which is opposite of how it should want to pull me back. I actually only like to play for fun and not do the awful...
One of the most sensible comments I've seen.
Please stop with the 4k60fps, you and your ilk REALLY need to be into pc gaming and learn that is not possible in the next gen.
I reviewed the 2012 Sony E3 and it was underwhelming kind of similar to this one, and then the next Feb 2013 a new Playstation was revealed.
Maybe they are doing it again?
When told not to buy something, I tend to perk up and start to have an issue with that attitude. I might even agree with his point but I'm less likely to research the issue with an off putting comment like that.
I value my money and where I choose to spend it, I think EA should too considering they rely on consumer choices.
I'm similar but I also go through stages of being interested in different genres at any given time. I'm almost thinking devs need to figure out a way to enjoy 2 or 3 hours in a compact experience that we can consume without the backlog.
Problem is, it seems like many devs have tried that and I'm not sure consumers embraced that model. Idk, I've 500 games on Steam backlog, few dozen on last gen ps360, and the entire ps4 ecosystem I'm not buying into yet...
The other day I was on Steam and it was $4.99, fact.
Is this a p2w or progress type of game?
Back then was a very sweet spot for 4kpc, the end of last gen the consoles were really struggling to do HD resolution and couldn't even lock 30 fps, and pc could easily do the same multiplats at 1080p60, and 4k30fps locked. Then at the start of this gen the hdtvs could do 4k60fps.
I remember playing this a few years ago with upgraded gfx settings over console at 4k, looked great and I enjoyed it, couldn't imagine having to play this remastered version at 30 fps.
I wish there would be a 4k uhd player update with another bump in cpu/gpu to whatever they could squeeze out to keep it at $400.
Won't have a sp game...and won't be purchased by me!
I'll leave gaming if I have to, keep pushing me, I always have 1000 other hobbies
When I was young/single I had no patience for these baby games, as my family/kids have come along though I finally understand their appeal.
I think it comes down to poor management, the team needs to meet their goals and not waste 2 days a 5 day week messing around.
There is no incentive for them to work fast, they delay it a couple times and it keeps contracts going.
Even if they are penalized a small portion overall they are still working 4 years on a game that should take 18 months.
