Wow. This is huge! The PS3 has a GOTM from one website. Don't get used to it, PS3 owners. Get ready for a holiday onslaught from Microsoft.
Sony and Nintendo will have a rough holiday. If MS as a price cut and markets the games, people will be buying 360s this holiday.
Also, WoW is overly dominant. Nobody can compete. The PC is a Sims and WoW machine with Dreamcast graphics. This isn't the fault of console development, either.
I haven't played a flight sim in my life, but Ace looks very cool. It has some of the new radar-invisible planes which I've never seen.
The Japanese are content with developing with 15 year old gaming engines for the DS, Wii, and PS2. I don't know why any westerner would want to develop games in Japan.

I didn't care for GTA. I tried to play Vice City, but when I got to the helicopter missions, I quit. But GTAIV is a huge game that is key to each console. If it is late on PS3, Microsoft will sell a few more consoles in October.
The console war will settle as early as this holiday. If the 360 builds enough momentum this holiday, people will embrace the fact that the 360 is here to stay. The obsession over weekly sales numbers will decline.
The only reason VG Chartz exists is the current console war. Things will settle down between the console makers and nobody will care about sales numbers anymore.
Nobody seems to notice the twisted innuendo in the MGS4 trailers. Everybody turns a blind eye to it and says that MGS4 is amazing, but I really believe that MGS4 will have a wacked plot, goofy characters, or another Raiden incedent.
Who cares about EBay or Amazon (or any one retailer) sales spikes? They mean nothing. You're only talking about a few hundred units at the most.
The Halo 360 has HDMI and a 20GB HD. My guess is that the premium model may have HDMI standard in the future.
It has little to do with nationality. My Korean friends simply liked asian cars. They like the rounded, refined, sleek style. The same goes for the 360. If the 360 had FFXIII and Dragon Quest exclusive, the Japanese would ditch Sony and Nintendo in a heartbeat.
Did you read my quote above? The owner admits that his data is not accurate. He admits that NPD is official, and that VG Chartz is not. You and I could make a website and use old NPD numbers to make guesstimates. That is what VG Chartz does.

Wow. I'm not an RTS player, but that looked amazing. Halo Wars just may attract new players to the RTS genre.
Peter is right to say that Sony is failing in Japan. He was likely alluding to a global victory for the 360, since Sony isn't winning anywhere. Regarding the numbers, the article quotes from VG Chartz, and we all know that VG Chartz literally fabricates numbers unscientifically.
It doesn't compare to Gears. Where are the normal maps (or parallax maps)in KZ2? You can see minute details in Gears, but KZ2 lacks detail.
Halo 2 had 2.5 million preorders. I've only heard that Halo 3 has 4 million preorders. If that's true, it would sell as many copies as Gears in a single day. I don't think there are 7 million preorders.
