Actually, I kind of agree with him - while I admit it is nice to have the option of video playback, just how many of you guys actually don't have a DVD player in you home other than the 360 or PS3? I doubt it would be many of you. While the video marketplace is a nice feature, the main use of a console is to play games: He's right, without popular games your console ain't worth sh!t. Now Sony have felt that recently, but they are addressing it - come this fall there will be great games availa...
Isn't this service available to our American counterparts right now? The only problem I forsee with this is the availability of decent broadband in the UK, while it is on the increase, I doubt most people will want to wait overnight to download an HD movie.
BUT, it might succeed al long as the price is right - over here the going rental rate is around £3.50 for two nights rental: if they can keep the price similar, then it might actually have a decent chance.
Why do you constantly have to screw the european market?
Not only have we had to weight almost nine months for Elite Beat Agents and almost 8 months for trauma Centre Wii, you now go an shaft us again.
Fook it, I am going to get my Wii modded so I can buy imports.
Is it such a big deal he sold shares? Who the fu(k cares? Regardless if you like MS or not, this is in no way an indication that MS is a sinking ship, there are no mass market alternatives to MS software (while I love using my OSX, it just does not have the same mass market as Windows) so they are in no way going anywhere. It was also noted that he has still a significant amount of shares left.
Things like this happen all the time, people are in reciept of shares all the time, ...
WOW, just WOW.
I honestly didn't think sony could deliver.
They certainly proved me wrong and I am glad to say it.
Kudos sony.
And I assume you have the WHOLE collection?
Sorry bud, couldn't resist.
This games looks great, but I am seriously impressed by the backgrounds - they look briliant.
thanks bud - rep for you.
Which console should any gamer own?
Answer: Them all.
It is the only way to play all the great games being released soon.
Fanboys, you gotta admit: Lair, Drake's fortune, heavenly sword, warhawk and msg 4 all look great for the PS3.
Same stands for Bioshock, Halo3, Mass Effect and blue dragon for the 360 and metroid, mario galaxy and smash bros for the Wii.
To fully experience all those games and to be able to have the...
I have decided that this time, I'll be getting this and Guitar Hero 3 for the 360, so my friends and I can play multiplayer.
As the only person out of my friends that has a PS3, I'll just reserve that for all the other great single player experiences.
But, if it is a timed exclusive, you gotta ask how much did they spend on securing the exclusivity? And was it really necessary anyway?
I'd rather have no games released, if that is what they are going to release
Thats all fine and well, but at least you could play Stranglehold straight away on your PS3, rather than wait 2-3 weeks for a refurbished 360 to be delivered - so either way, you still are waiting a couple of weeks before you could play it.
Seriously, this is one of the few games I would rather wait - the PS3 version seems to be a much better buy right now - a copy of Hardboiled HD too - fantastic value.
What is worse than fanboys posting flamebait?
Someone posting flamebait to boost their N4G score.
What a sad, sad thing.....
My fave is apple pie - whats your fave?
Hot apple pie and ice cream mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
For finally doing something about the RROD problem. While is in no way a fix, it definatley helps all those effected.
My question is though: is it only offered to our North American brethren, or is this going to be rolled out worldwide?
BUT, this game has been in development for far too long, and I just can't help but think it has been so long in development for a reason: what if the game is so fundamentally flawed (game engine or whatever) that it has had serious issues.
Hopefully, this E3 will show that my misgivings were completely not needed and this game will rock.
*Fingers Crossed*
This game could be great if the controls are perfect, but if they are off, even a little, then it could seriously impair the game.
Hopefully, it will live up to everyone's expectations and be fantastic.
That is good news for Sony.
Keep it up!!!!
Yeah man, I think he is trying to troll, but failing miserably........
That is actually a great idea - on-line two player combat - summit like resi evil 0 where the two of you are jointly playing through the game.
Another thing - the DVD rental business on the high street has been in decline for years - the advent of the superstores selling the movies cheap has resulted in many people just buying the movies they fancy seeing, hell in most cases, they are only a few pounds more expensive than renting.
The rental market just isn't as big anymore (well in my opinion anyhoo)
