The Wii is in a different league from the PS3 and 360 and as soon as everyone realises this then surely we can move on?
I'm sorry but historically, no console manufacturer has 'won' any three consecutive generations.
But this is what gets me - I don't want any one console to completely destroy the competition - the only thing to surface from that is the market will begin to stagnate.
Think about it - competition breeds innovation.
I disagree bud, for the hardcore, yes the Wii can be seen as a dud. But that is not their target market now.

Bill, seriously, you are one funny as hell guy at times, but give credit where credit is due - there is no game availalbe on the PS3 this year that will match the sales of Halo 3, nor the critical acclaim I believe it will recieve.

I agree - I am going to be severely lacking in funds this year - all these games and heavenly sword, lair (I still fancy it), haze and maybe rockband for the ps3 too, this is going to be one helluva holiday season.
I have said it before and I'll say it again, it is truely a great time to be a console gamer, multiplatform or not.
Thats the thing - the Wii has specifically been marketed towards the non-hardcore, they have all but abandonded the hard core Ninty audience (me included). Remember, it is not in any way NEXT GEN, it is supposedly 'NEW GEN'. Now, Mario galaxy and Metroid will ease some of the hard core gamers, it will not statiate their hunger for quality, hardcore games, but to be fair, ninty, for now, don't need the hard core.

I dunno man - I keep on hearing the same comments towards the Wii as I did towards the DS and look how that panned out - I think it has went far beyond a fad now - it had become the iPod of consoles.
I really can see the Wii dominating the next year or so.

I have decided NOT to download the demo.
Not because I think the game is bad or anything, but I really want to keep the experience of playing the game for when I have the retail version. This game, IMO could easily be the game of the year.

Ninty's european release schedule is woeful for europeans. Ninty always does this to the european territories and I believe that it will eventually bite them on the a$$.

See, I don't really mind if they are both released on the same day - I am going to buy both anyway, so it really does'nt matter when they are released. But I do see your point, it may harm sales, but I think that they are to completely different genres and will do fine.

Until there is a press release stating that those are the reasons for the delay, then I'll believe them. Until then it is purely conjecture on everyone's part as to why it is delayed - for all we know it could be due to the liscensing and inclusion of hardboiled on the disc too.
Until official conformation all we are doing is jumping to conclusions, simple as that.
this game has the potential to be something special - but it has to be done right - an uber version of crackdown with fantastic graphics could be really, really popular.
Until there is OFFICIAL CONFORMATION from Konami, or Kojima himself that MSG4 will come to the 360, lets just leave the rumour be - it is not going to miraculously change from one second/third hand account to another.

For god chr!st's sale people - this is relevant news. HMV is one of the largest retailers in the UK.
Regardless of weather it turns out to be true or not, it is on the HMV website. eitehr it is a genuine mistake or it has merit, either way it is a very good find. Lay off Deep - he is one of the best contributors to the site. And I respect his attitude and the work he does here.
