To get an impression about the game before launch? If you're expecting your opinion to be validated by them it's best you move on.
If they're of no use to you stop reading them.
Uncharted didn't invent train ride fight scenes, and you don't need inspiration to create a level that's effectively straight line with the basic platforming challenges sprinkled in.
Says who? Legitimately, how do we determine what score a game really deserves? The obvious answer is that we can't, and because of that we should do away with review scores altogether. The only method that is even slightly accurate would be Steams. Requires you to buy the game, and then you can say if you like it or dislike it alongside a written review. The amount of playtime that user has put into the game is also made public to give an indication of how much that user has played. It...
"Just because it didn't get the highest average"
It's almost as if evaluating the quality of a product by just looking at the score is flawed, huh?
@Nyxus
"He has no influence on the voting process, as he's the show's producer."
That doesn't really alleviate concerns. Not to mention when the system of voting/evaluation is not nearly transparent enough. They've had incidents in the past that really make you question the logic of the voters. Like how can The Walking Dead win GOTY, but even get a nomination of be awarded best Xbox 360, or PS3 game? There's a huge disconnect...
Actually most people don't. My source? Check the percentages for completion on trophy/achievement sites. Most of the time people don't finish games they buy, and when a game does achieve a higher percentage of completion it's barely more than half. It'll be interesting to see what Death Stranding's percentage is a year from now, but considering the amount of tedious work it requires you to do for just a nugget of the narrative, I'm not expecting many.
At this point theres no chance that Half-life 3, should it ever get made, will ever live up to people's expectations. Disappointed was guaranteed regardless.

"I'm looking at it, and wondering if this is a game that MS actually brought the studio for"
You say that but from interviews including Phil Spencer it was made out that the internal decision making was based off a game like Hellblade. In an interview it was revealed he was asked, "If Ninja Theory are bought, and then their next 5 games aren't at all like Hellblade, are you still happy with the purchase" and he res...

Everything you just said is countered with one simple word in @SegaGamers comment:
"rechargeable"
Please, learn to read showing off you can do math.
In terms of charge, I'd much rather pay extra for a battery pack with 30 hours of life than to frequently find my controller without charge. I swear my PS4 controller these days only lasts 4 hours until it notifies me that I need to plug it in, and when I'm playing a new game it's not acceptable.
It needs a drastically better battery that can last much longer, or do what the Xbox does and provide an option for a better battery pack.
"How about movie placements like in the recently released gears of war 5"
Actually that's genuinely been called out by the community. Even the Halo skins weren't well received.
You just revealed your ignorance to the effort that goes into the design of characters. Have a look at some of the videos relating to recent movies like Frozen if you're unaware of how much trial and error goes into the process. Hell, you can even see it in old documents to Disney movies that are decades old.
Then ignore the PC reviews and stick to the PS4's?
@badz149
Resident Evil 2 and World War Z off the top of my head. How did you people forget RE2R??? It's one of the best games of this year.
@THC CELL
They're zombies dude. Considering that 'Infected' is often used as an interchangeable term, and also to describe zombies that aren't dead kinda reveals that. It's funny how often people will argue something isn't a zombie when the only real distinguishing featu...

"Complete veered off from the context of the conversation, in an "apocalypse" there would be plenty of ways to get power"
Sarcasm is completely lost on you isn't it? Using a fake # and calling it a "fucking travesty" wasn't enough for N4G, huh? You gotta be on the fucking nose, and basically say your joking round here don't you? Small brain N4G strikes again.
"You tried to go to an extreme for your argument a...
Not really. That boss fight was pitifully easy. Cool cutscenes though.
