Because they've not claimed this is how the game will actually look come release. This is purely looking at what the engine can accomplish even if it's not in the final game. In essence this is an analysis of a tech demo for an engine; similar in nature to the UE tech demos.
So, no. It's not a waste of time.
Except the dev kits for the PS systems never look like the consumer model.
So my reason for doubting it is more than justified. Btw they're called Roman Numerals...
Then that's on Nintendo, and not the ratings board.
Yeah, I'm not seeing the issue with them asking to see if characters actually have underwear modeled. That would actually be reason to give the game a higher age rating. If Sakurai included them and Nintendo then removed them to achieve a lower age rating that would've made Nintendo the censors.
A rating board has every right to ask for this to accurately rate the game.
Well I've definitely played more exclusives on my PS4 than my Xbox One, but I've definitely played more games on the Xbox One because of XGP. So they have actually offered me something. MS can actually do some decent stuff occasionally despite having huge shortcomings.
Going to be honest; thought the the air vents in the image was a picture of a laundry basket at first...
Doubt that the actual system looks anything like this.

"What I love about Kojima is that he always has a solid foundation because he educates himself on the themes of the game he is making."
I think thats false in regards to Death Stranding. It's biggest themes are unity and death. In regard to unity his portrayal of its importance is pure idealism. Sam gives zero pushback despite his character voicing objections to it, and it basically implies unity is easily accomplished when the ...
You're calling people sensitive because you had two comments offering a different view? Notice how you're the one to bring up the review scores, and not anyone else?
You're the one who comes across as sensitive, lol.
Vastly different? Once you unlock the AR and similar weapons it's basically MGS Lite. The mains missions for a few dozen hours is basically ubi-towers, but you're forced to do it rather than go at your own pace.
This game is definitely not "vastly different".
"Kojima, who defines Super Mario as his greatest inspiration in game design, managed to make a reference to Nintendo's mascot with the subtlety of a brick thrown at our faces"
Well the game isnt really subtle at all, lol. Every piece of symbolism is either explained directly to your face and not left open to interpretation, or so in your face that its cringe inducing. The few left like the themes about death are interesting but poorly executed.
Yup, Minecraft is a very good entry. A great example of a game with very straightforward mechanics, but being extremely flexible in how it can be played.
Racing games is a genre that many naturally overlook due to it not appealing to them. When a game of that genre is able to draw in sales from people who are believed to be unattainable, it's a sign that the game has done something very well.
Years later and other developers still haven't been able to replicate what Horizon has done. The game definitely deserves a place among the best games of the decade.
Looks like someone's made a sock account to defend Death Stranding, lol.
What part of "VR is not a priority for Project Scarlett" makes it hypocritical for a studio making a game being published by MS to focus on VR for a PC game?
"The vast majority of our customers know if they want a VR experience, there’s places to go get those. We see the volumes of those on PC and other places.” - Phill Spencer.
So where's the hypocrisy between what he's said and what the developers of MS Flight Sim said?
Except it's not exclusive to their headset...
@Nyxus
Then why offer the choice to begin with? Also, that's a bit of a cop-out answer when Sam is basically characterless for the most part, and is barely above the level of silent protagonist.
I share the sentiment on cutscenes.
Death Stranding actually had an opportunity to have its story diverge slightly depending on player choice, and it never explicitly offers the player a choice (there are telltale signs though). Said choice is actually made through gameplay, but if you choose one it's game over and the story ends. Such a good opportunity wasted due to laziness. One of the most valuable things gaming has to offer is the potential to have two players have...

"Just like Matrick told gamers if they didn't like Xbox one, that there was always the 360"
How quickly we forget Sony wanted consumers to "earn" their PS3, and work harder to afford a high price tag. Sony and MS are both corporations and will spin everything to their own advantage.
I know you like to consider one morally justified, but you already know you're wrong on that.
VR is starving for great games in general these days so that's not the best jab to take. Considering that it's only now getting what might be it's first true AAA game that makes the system mandatory to play.
Never said it was "just like MGS", and what I actually said was that its "basically MGS Lite".
The gunplay is very similar MGS, but that removes quite a lot of MGS's gameplay elements and level design. Thus making it a discount version, hence why I called it MGS Lite. If you're gonna try and play a gotcha argument at least make sure you read the comment correctly.
