"The fact that digital media hasn't "completely removed physical media" doesn't mean physical media isn't at risk due to the growth of digital."

He didn't ask for clarification on my position so I gave him none. Issue?

Don't comment on N4G if you're expecting conversations to be made in good faith my friend.

@BlackRaven

Reading comprehension not your thing? Or do you not understand how digital media didn't completely remove physical media?

@meteorPanda

It's absolutely a fair statement. You lose what you paid for just like @Dwarrior described. Online access is a completely different topic, but if you're going to defend it then you would need to justify locking MP access behind a paywall. Do you really want to do that? Last I check when you stop paying you lose access as well so I guess it applies to what @Dwarrior said too.

Yeah, just like how digital was a threat to physical media? Strange how this fear mongering never actually amounts to anything substantial isn't it?

PS+, XBLG, and Nintendo Online? Just wanna make sure you're being consistent.

Meanwhile a vocal minority of gamers still shit themselves in paranoia over the non-existent threat posed by cloud gaming.

"I have legitimate questions about it's value for some developers"

Okay, so it's not valuable for games with a budget comparable to COD. No ones really concerned about the financial stability of publishers pumping out yearly releases of one of the most successful franchises in the industry.

No one markets the service on those games. However, AAA games have been known to not achieve what was expected by the pu...

Basically, he doesnt like any multiplayer game that doesnt rely on making the team co-operate, and this is fine if he then didn't go on to praise games that have some of the weakest teamwork elements in the industry.

"I’ve never been able to get into is any of the Call of Duty franchise. The multiplayer fraternity on these games is famously full of kids, trolls and those who take a fancy for my mother – to paraphrase the messages that I have received. With the game...

@Silly gameAr

Depends...

I'd say Nintendo has the upper hand when it comes creating online games, despite being incapable of making a modernized service, like Splatoon 2, ARMS, and MM2. I think they also offer a much larger library of gameplay focussed games which, if your thing, can be considered an advantage.

With Sony I'd say they excel in 3rd person action-adventure/role-playing games. God of War, Marvels Spider-man, and HZ...

You think Death Stranding, the most hyped game this year that got an insane amount of free marketing, was hardly even acknowledged? I don't think this analogy is going to work...

If a game that was hyped long before being officially revealed...

Or... maybe this is the excuse detractors make to salvage their ego after predicting the Switch would fail despite all the early signs of it being a natural success?

The Switch is dead on arrival? Doesnt happen. The Switch sales will fizzle out in a few months? Doesnt happen. The Switch sales arent actually good and Nintendo is creating the illusion of high demand by manufacturing a shortage? Still needs to be proven. Got any evidence for your claim?

Your comment is basically one long way of saying you cant name a single game that fits the criteria I offered.

***Do you really believe say, a company like Rockstar, or even Sony, would spend 100 million dollars on 5 million players. And that's before marketing expenses.***

Let me try rephrasing gangsta_red's question for you: Can you name one game exclusive to VR, on PC or console, that has a budget comparable to a high quality AAA title and is considered a must buy game for the platform? The closest I can see is potentially HL: Alyx (assuming it lives up to the quality part).

No ones saying VR has no games or even very few, but that the platform definitely doesn't have a big system seller title. ...
