For starters, only if you are into the whole action-rpg thing. As for me, I see it as a non-canonical game with the Final Fantasy title in it (you know, for the sales and all).
If the good old combat system isn't there it simply won't cut it for me.
Any grinding game suits the title, on those specific moments at least.
