...but, you ARE in the minority. Only jealous EA types, and thinly-veiled Sony fanboys could say Gears offers nothing new or immersive.....complete bullsh*t. And let me save you the trouble of playing to find out: R:FOM DEFINITELY won't offer anything new.
And, BTW, 'GOTY' is ALWAYS subjective....you can't please everyone, with ANY game. Morrowind and Oblivion BOTH got GOTY...and they're niche RPGs. RE4 got GOTY, and it's a niche survival horror game. Again, NO game can ...
1.) The 360 was ALSO sold in large #s on eBay....but that didn't stop it from having a 3-1 attach rate.
2.) If the PS3 can't sell games, more and more devs will be defecting to the 360 and Wii; Sony has ALREADY lost a ton of dev support and exclusives, compared to last gen. It will get worse, before it gets better.
"Just don't get too close to anything, because the textures that looked good across the way are far less impressive when you get right up on them."
BWAHAHAHAHAHA.......like I always said, it looks like a sci-fi BLACK. The PS3 just can't do complex textures like the 360.
"Forty players, though, may be a little bit of overkill. It's nearly impossible to coordinate teams of many more than a dozen. The map design for these big matches also gets a little...
I plainly stated:
3.) The reason MS COULDN'T stay with Nvidia, is because they were lagging behind the rest of the industry in R&D for next-gen chipsets. MS couldn't afford to wait, so they went ATI, who was the current up-and-coming leader for next-gen graphics
IN OTHER WORDS...
"You are aware that the fastest graphics chipset on market TODAY is from Nvidia, right? " juat proves your ignorance. The 360 wasn't designed "today"....
LOL. Well, to be fair, the Wii is essentially a port of the GC. :o
...I am actually thinking of sitting outside Wal-Mart Friday, and shooting every dumbass that comes out with a PS3....just for being a sucker and paying for one. :)
No they aren't. Sony has lost money, at an alarming rate, for the past few years. Sony Pictures is the only are they've really seen a profit...and that has no bearing on the electronics division AT ALL.
...the 360 can do ALL of that, AND THEN some. Everything about the 360 was custom built from state-of-the-art tech, for GAMING.
1.) Sony is the ONLY one "forcing" a format on the consumers....something they've become an industry leader in doing.
2.) HD-DVD has NOTHING TO DO with games, so it was stupid to even bring it up.
3.) Nintendo hasn't even embraced DVD technology, which was established over 10 YEARS AGO. They have NO RIGHT to speak about what's fair to consumers, in terms of a media format....they don't even acknowledge a NEED for one.
1.) The 360 COULD NOT HAVE the XBOX chipset in it, because MS parted ways with Nvidia (and Nvidia in turn went to work with MS rival, Sony).
2.) Since they only had the rights to that chipset for the licensed "XBOX" name/product, they couldn't include it in the 360 without permission, and/or a new contract with Nvidia. Since they were already "sleeping with the enemy", that wasn't happening. Nvidia would only "lease" MS access to source code to a...
...flex that monetary muscle. :D
This game was basically an expansion to COD2, with Treyarch trying to add a couple wrinkles to put their personal stamp on it. Infinity Ward basically farmed out the game to Treyarch, sharing all the resources they could, with Treyarch building the game off of the COD2 source code. Infinity Ward had issues with online with the launch build of COD2...and Treyarch has NEVER DONE an online game for the 360 (Big Red 1 was the ONLY game they'd ever done online for, and Infinity Ward helped with ...
You act like I'm some kid, attempting to correct my grammar, making comments about "growing up". I'm a 35 y.o. who's been gaming since the early 80s. I have the opinion I do about PC gaming, because 1.) I've tried it, and it's not practical or fun IMO and 2.) people like you make me want to not associate with such partisan fanaticism.
The fact still remains, that while the PC is still "upgradeable", the cost to do so far outweighs the price of a next-gen console...
Sony WON'T HAVE that advantage this gen. Look at all of the cancelled games, or lost exclusives (Assassin's Creed doesn't count though, because it was NEVER a PS3 exclusive) for the PS3. Third part support is MUCH more in favor of MS this time, ESPECIALLY because of their new commitment to PC gaming.
People who pay these outrageous prices for stuff, rather than wait a few months, are some of the biggest wastes of DNA on the planet. I hope this jackass hooks up his PS3, and it catches on fire and burns his home to the ground. It could happen too....look at the Sony laptop batteries. :o
And NEITHER of us said anything about college ANYWAY. ???
...if I knew my wife would like it. I just don't know if she'd have the patience for this type of game. She loved Kameo, and can't wait for the sequel, but I don't think this will interest her because of the gameplay. Hopefully Movie Gallery will have it to rent soon.
...you're both idiots. Microsoft IS the PC ; every 360 title that also comes to PC, is STILL EXCLUSIVE FOR MS. A lot of PC gamers also like consoles, because of all the games that aren't available for PC...but you rarely find console gamers, that enjoy PC gaming. This generation of consoles is the beginning of the end to the division....and PC gaming will no longer have the following that once came from the exclusive content and powerful graphics not possible on consoles. If you prefer mo...
You say:
"I called Microsoft and they told me I have to pay 139 bucks to get it fixed."
and then:
"Hope SONY delivers a really good harware console that actually plays some games for more than a year."
Perhaps you didn't get the memo....and/or you're lying. MS announced over a month ago, that anyone who purchase a 360 prior to Jan., WOULD NOT owe anything AT ALL if their 360 failed, and that they'd be reimbursed if they'...
MS made the controllers, mem cards, games, etc available several weeks before launch, and people were buying them up quickly. The attach rate for the 360 is now well over 5 games (not including XBLA), which is pretty good for a year old, new-gen console. That number will likely double, through next Spring. The PS3 will have an even bigger software drought than the 360, and far less quality exclusives to look forward to.
