...millions of Sony fanboys cry out with a collective "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" :o
Damn double post crap. :(
...here's what's bugged me about Sony/Blu-Ray from the beginning:
The PS2 sold extremely well, even before it had a huge library of games, because of DVD. The format was still relatively new (about 2-1/2 years I think), and good DVD players were still $300-$500. The PS2 WAS a bargain, as a DVD/PS1/PS2 media combo.
Blu-Ray is FAR from being the standard media format, like DVD was by 2000. In fact, regardless of your tastes/beliefs, it's impossible to say if it EVER WIL...
...and the 360 is winning by a landslide. Sony spent so much $$ and effort working on Blu-Ray, Cell, and telling lies to try and take away from the 360, that they lost sight of what was important. Gamers and devs alike have noticed this, and so there's been a tremendous shift from Sony's dominance last-gen.
1.) Who the f*** are you?
2.) What the f*** are you talking about?
3.) Take your Sony fanboy-ass out of here, and leave your stupid comments out of conversations you don't understand.
-Oblivion (the PS3 gets a year-old port)
-Dead Rising
-Condemned
-Kameo
-COD2
-GRAW
-FNR3
-PGR3
-F.E.A.R.
-Saint's Row
-Viva Pinata
-Gears of War
Not to mention what's coming within the next 2-6 months:
-Crackdown
-Too Human
-Bioshock
-Alan Wake
-Lost Planet
-Blue Dragon
-Lost Odyssey
-Kane and Lynch
-Forza 2
-PGR4
-E...
...is that you're too ignorant to know what that means. :|
1.) The fact that the PS3 ports had longer dev time, on SUPPOSEDLY superior hardware...and can barely match the 360, is pretty damned pathetic.
2.) If you look at the scores for PS3 exclusives, like Genji, RR7 and Gundam...you'll see the REAL power of the PS3.
3.) The "ps3's devs arent even using 3 of the 6 spe's yet" comment is completely bogus and retarded. You have no proof o...
The 360 is just getting warmed up, chief...you ain't seen NOTHIN' yet. The PS3 won't catch up to the 360's software advantage....at least not before it's too late.
...will the Wii jokes NEVER END? :( :(
:p
Is the PC gaming community really so insecure, that they feel it's necessary to go to such insane lengths to keep someone from buying a console? Besides, according to SONY, their overblown hunk of plastic IS a PC. ;)
“We applaud Sony for helping raise the bar in the next generation of gaming,” said Paul Eibeler, Take-Two’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “As the hardware transitions to the next generation, Take-Two is working hard to position itself to emerge as a leading next generation publisher, with our focus on delivering quality titles and harnessing technologies like Sony’s cell processors and blu-ray storage capacity, as well as its proprietary SIXAXIS wireless controller. We’re not asking ...
...most consumers wouldn't realize that. :o
O.k., I can KIND OF see the racing wheel being a good thing...even though it's nowhere NEAR as cool as the 360 wireless wheel. But, the golf club and racket are COMPLETELY pointless, and look cheap as hell. If you need a little hunk of plastic attached to the end of your Wiimote, before you can play a sports game...you have ZERO imagination. o_O
Once they finally started releasing gameplay screens, it was OBVIOUS the E3 footage was 100% CGI.
The same goes for the almighty MGS4. If you look at the actual gameplay footage and screens, and compare them to what was shown a year ago at E3, it's apparent that it was ALSO not in-engine and real-time, as Sony tried to make us believe.
It's kinda sad that Guerilla took the fall so badly for the CGI Killzone footage...because 95% of what's been shown for the PS3 wasn't any d...

...it just doesn't make sense. :o
The thing is, MS understands that there's largely a sharp division between console and PC gamers...always has been, always will be. Sure, there are some who've crossed over, and certainly there's many who like both. But, for the most part, PC gamers are a cliquish bunch, who frown on console games/gamers, and love that mouse-n-keyboard more than their own mothers. Basically, MS is catering to 2 different parties:
1.) Console...
Read my earlier posts on this. If you can't understand that this is a win-win situation for MS, then you are seriously lacking in the common sense department. 0_o
1.) Why do you care if someone else gets to play this, or any other game for that matter?
2.) How do you think this hurts MS, or helps Sony....or affects anything other than the PC community?
This is simply a reversal of the days prior to the XBOX, when the PC got all the great games, either exclusively, or LOOOONG before they were ever ported to a console...in a much lesser form. MS has to keep the Windows Gaming monster fed, but this has ZERO impact on their consol...
MS IS the PC market...they're promoting 'Games for Windows' as heavily as they are the 360; the 2 together are a fantastic 1-2 punch for them. Sony doesn't HAVE that advantage. Sure you won't see any Sony exclusives coming to PC, because that would mean MS would get a little piece of the action....and Sony is too proud to let that happen.
Fact is, MS has a HUGE upperhand on Sony and Nintendo, when you factor in the PC market. When you look at a game like Crysis...that every co...
...I thought this was going to be about TRULY new stuff, that we haven't seen or heard of yet. What a crock. :(
