Refresh my memory on a few things, if you would:
1.) When did Sony originally say the PS3 would launch?
2.) Did they not say they would do a "worldwide launch", including Europe, at the time?
3.) Did they not also say they would launch with 2 million consoles?
4.) Did they not later change that figure to 500k....400k to U.S., and 100k to Japan, while excluding Europ...

When/where did ANYONE say anything about "shipped"? This is about sales...plain and simple. MS has SHIPPED waaay more than what's been sold...you only need to see their abundant supply at every retailer to know that.
The 360 sales were a bit stagnant during the summer months, for a few reasons:
- Key titles delayed until Fall '06 or Spring '07
- Typical summer lull for new tech/gadgets, prior to the Holiday shopping season.
