Halo, Gears and Forza. Wow!

Personally, I'm a Sony guy but I have six kids and Nintendo was always, in general, more appealing to them especially the younger ones. So, I got not one but two Switch's for Christmas for everyone to share. Bought all the big games for them too, Mario Cart, Mario Odyssy, Zelda, Splatoon, etc., etc. They all played with them for a week or two afterwards and then they have basically sat idle. There have been no more games purchased since December and the only one on the radar right...
Sony trying to win E3 before E3 even starts!
In 2016 Sony had the most epic E3 press conference I've ever seen. Starting with the live orchestra and God of War reveal. Less than two years later they delivered God of War, easily one of the best video game experiences I have ever had. With the focus this year on 4 AAA first party games that will take us through the next 2+ years I am really hyped for this year's conference.
All I want to see is.....
In all seriousness for whom would that list be necessary? Why would Sony make a list like that to give to anyone, even their most trusted employees, 10 days before E3? Hey, maybe it's real but I'll stick with low expectations and hopefully be surprised.
If you watch all the stuff SSM released about the Mythology before the release of the game it talks about the history of the Vanir, Aesir war, all the major gods and giants, etc., etc. It talks about Odin learning Seidr magic from Freya and his paranoia about Ragnarok, etc. It tells of him banishing Freya and how her only hope is an outsider will come to restore balance. All major gods and goddesses were discussed EXCEPT Loki. Well, we know why now. But my point is Freya would know Tyr a...
Oh damn, it's the missing piece of the mural, the opening you walk through to get to the top of the mountain. Got it.
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the big ass boulder you drop on Baldur in the first fight. It has a scene carved on it. To me part of it looks like it depicts the final battle but there seems to be more to it. Can't figure it out.
I'm really behind. I still have a PS3 running somewhere in the house and definitely have a couple of PS2s packed away somewhere and, if I look carefully, a PS1 or two. Plus the three PS4s. Gonna need a bigger garbage can.
Loved Heavy Rain. Only played a little of Two Souls and couldn't get into it (will have to go back and try it again). I was interested in Detroit but not overly hyped for it compared to God of War. I did get it yesterday though and all I can say is WOW! I completely love it! The story is awesome, the pacing is great, voice acting is great and the graphics are mind blowing (PS4 Pro 4K HDR)!
It's like a good book you just can't put down. Started playing last ni...
Just played the game for seven straight hours. It's freaking phenomenal!
That's like saying God of War tackles Norse mythology without a grasp of mythology.
Come on people. Why do we have to do this with everything these days?
I agree. While I love The Last of Us and can't wait for Spider-man this is a brand new IP that looks very unique. Can't wait to see it at E3.
Little Big Planet was a huge success for Sony and they have given Media Molecule the opportunity to pursue their dream of making this software a reality. "Dreams" is avant garde. It will not sell like God of War or Uncharted. "Dreams" is about pushing the limits of living art on a console platform. Sony will always be number one in the console market as long as they continue to support development of projects like this.
It is definitely something I want as well but there are certain things in the game that make it more difficult to include. There are specific items that are only acquired during story missions. There are things you could definitely not be allowed to have at the beginning of the game. Plus you currently get specific rewards for finishing the game on "Give me God of War" difficulty. Obviously, you should not be allowed to earn those if you start with greater abilities. It's o...
God of War is going to xbox? Or, The Last of Us? Or, any Uncharted game?
Sorry, No Man's Sky is okay but...
I would still love NG+ but understand why it would be rather difficult to pull off properly with so many things, items, tied to the story.
It's called "managing expectations". It's actually quite brilliant. Every E3 we all go in hoping for that huge announcement. Everything is pure speculation and when there is no big announcement then there is huge disappointment. This year Sony is completely tempering all expectations by laying out what they are going to focus on. Four great games coming out in the next year or so. Remember Sony has taken a good deal of heat for always showing stuff that is 2 or 3 years...
Yeah, it was great to see all the third party games that will be available on PS4.
I'm sorry, but the biggest announcement MS had was acquiring Ninja Theory. I completely respect Ninja Theory and I think they have made some pretty cool games. Hopefully for MS they turn into a Naughty Dog or Sucker Punch. But that's years away. Tonight we get to see Sony first party studios shine and, sadly, there is no comparison yet.
