agree, I have always found Splinter Cell and MGS stealth dynamics (the way AI operates and you work around them) to be much inferior to the Thief series
Theif 4, Deus Ex 3 - all they need is to announce Grim Fandango 2. One can dream, I suppose.
The killzone 1 opening trailer was awesome, the best I have seen other than the Warhammer: Dawn of War one, looks like they are going to keep up the good work with KZ3.

Well, the best selling title on the 360 was almsot non-HD, so....
You know whats amazing? MM has just about 40 employees. Thats less than half of a typical game studio. In fact, if I remember correctly, they had only 20 for LBP1

MAG - if you like a bit of brains, teamwork and tactics, and hugely exciting gameplay, then its the FPS of the year.
Hopefully they sold enough for MAG 2. Sadly, will not happen before end-2012 at the earliest as the team is busy on Socom 4.
On one hand, doesn’t matter. The new tools look awesome, and I am sure the creativity of the fanbase will create 10x more than what we saw with LBP1. Sales should be good enough to reward the developers for their originality.

Amazing, the number of people who post first on PS3 articles and clearly haven't ever played a PS3 game or even intend to buy a PS3.
Its reassuring is that "the game would definitely NOT be moving into the genre of open-world games." Stick to the formula, with minor yet brilliant tweaks such as stealth in the 2nd game.

Lets face it - we all love the generic games. Thats why shooters, RPGs, sandbox games sell millions.
But every gamer also wants the odd unique experience. Would we like every game to play like Ico, Heavy Rain or Demon's souls? No. Would we have preferred their developers had not made these games for us and instead made CoD clones? Again, no.
Its on the list of "37 excellent games coming out in 2011 and not on this guy's top 5 list"
They are both rather complementary
KZ2: tactical, weighty controls, gritty and dark with an emphasis on cover, seemingly evil earth soldiers attacking an alien planet
R3: fast paced and more arcade-like, more colourful and bit more survival horror, evil aliens attacking Earth
I am glad both of them have coop in the campaign now. Just wish Resistance kept its 8-player independent coop as well.

Which 360 exclusive? There are hardly any left now.
And there is not much comparison - lighting, physics, AA, story, gameplay, the typical PS3 excluive batters the rare 360 exclusive anyway, barely getting an exclusive to run at 720p is an achievement for the xbox.

Talking about “2011 is Sony’s year” is pointless, even from Sony’s point of view, because its a long-term game for them. Sony will sell a ton of consoles, have an awesome list of exclusives, etc – but their year is actually 2013 or 2014, when the next gen launches.

In both MGS and Splinter Cell, at least on easy, you can get away with firefights with the enemy. Not in Thief, you need to plan so that you can pick off the enemy one by one without being seen. And the story is top-notch, among the best in any game series.
