It's a mix of Marios 3-D platforming with Diablos leveling and treasure hunt. The addition of different characters, that you can buy at the store, add different powers and opens up different areas. Very cool concept. And it gives you a list of reasons to go back and play through, seeing what you missed with a new character.
I had never paid attention to the Skylanders games and universe up until the sale, now I wonder why more people, especially non-children, don't pl...
It's amazing, all of these great games at great prices. There is no reason why anyone shouldn't try these games at $39 or less. I recently bought Skylanders, never knowing much about the series, at $45 on Amazon. In the mood for that Mario/Diablo type of mix.
Killzone, COD and Knack are all great buys at $39. Skylanders is a blast and a steal for $49.
I've even seen Assassins Creed and Battlefield at $39. Just incredible, so soon after launch, tha...
Agreed. Looks incredible. I cant wait to explore this environment and see it all in motion. Should be heavenly.
Cant wait!
Yeah, I don't think it's going to hurt the game that the Doom beta is included. I think Wolfenstein looks fairly decent. The visuals certainly look next gen and the gameplay seems like it's going to be fun. The fact that the Doom Beta comes with it is just icing on the cake. For me at least. But there's nothing wrong with wanting the Doom beta more than Wolfenstein itself. Doom has always been a blast. Should be even more incredible with next gen hardware behind it.

If you think about unreal engine games, they have that kind of cartoonish pop to them. I don't know if it's the lighting, or what. While Crytek has always prided itself on realism in their environments.
I think it's more preference then hatred towards one engine or another. It would've been nice to know the features that the CryEngine had over Unreal though. Regardless, it is cool how the CryEngine allows developers to develop on as many platforms as they wan...
Great stuff, man. I bought Rayman and Strider for the PS4, got Final Fantasy beta(PS4) and downloaded Streetfighter for free.
A great day for platforming, RPG and fighter fans on the PS4 and Vita. Not to mention all the great stuff for the PS3. Youve got to love PS+!
Agree. They have been promising Streetfoghter for months. I'm glad they finally released it on PS+. Every once in a while, I love to rock a fighting game. What better way, then to play one of the best and for free.
Thank you Sony and Capcom!
Thief is also now up for pre-order for $59.99, along with a Strider demo and the Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn beta download.
Strider is around 3GBs. Rayman is a little over 8.5GBs and Final Fantasy Beta is 11GBs.
Once again, enjoy!
This and Rayman are both up on the USA PS4 marketplace for anybody who's interested. $39.99 for Rayman, $14.99 for Strider. A great, classic platformer day for the PS4. I bought both. Enjoy!
The review was okay, but the information is incorrect. The game is not $60, it is $39.99, and a great deal at that.
Thank you for the review of the next gen version. I was going to buy it no matter what people said, but it's reassuring to see someone enjoy it so much, even so far after its initial release on prior consoles.
I would love to have some second screen games on the PS4. Are there any? I was under the impression that Battlefield had second screen functionality, but when I started it up the other day, I realized it didn't. I think it's a really cool idea. Maybe have a players vital info on the second screen, use it as a rearview mirror in racing games, a chat interface in parties while playing games, a game map that lets you touch it to fast travel or gives you information about an area when you...
Wow. That just made the wait even more unbearable. I never thought we would see visuals like this in games. I like the aspect ratio. It adds a true cinematic flair to the action.
Cant wait!
Wow. With that in mind, it should be one hell of a story. This game cant come fast enough.
I've been playing since the Pong and the LED days of the 70s. I don't plan on ever stopping. It's something I've always loved and had a passion for. Im 42... But when I play games, Im seeing them through the eyes of my 7 year old self. I am transported to places Ive never been, doing things Ive never done in fantastical ways.
If you live your life in fear of others opinions, you die never knowing yourself.
I'm with the rest of you, this has become one of my most anticipated titles of this year. Definitely going to be a day one purchase, digitally, on PSN. I haven't gotten into playing a baseball game since MLB 2K7. So I know this is going to be a treat for the senses.
Cant wait!
Sadly and unfortunately, this is just not true. I noticed immediately, playing Battlefield at 900P on the PS4, that it just was not as clear as a true 1080 game. It's sort of looks last generation, because there are quite a few textures that are really blurry and you can definitely tell it's more of a PS3 .5 game, than true PS4 game. It's saving grace is it's excellent character models, which seem to be the true focus.
It's unfortunate that Microsoft put i...
I agree with Abash. It is pretty telling when a system you can't find is outselling a system that is commonly available. There are no less than 10 Xbox One systems sitting in my local Walmart, while I've never once seen a PS4 on the shelves.
I think that Sony succeeded in advertising their systems power advantage. Which, by sales numbers, seems to indicate gamers care about more than Microsoft wants you to believe. I don't think that their unveil did them any favo...
I agree with all of those, with presentation and weekly recaps being at the top of my list. The presentation in Madden has always been average. The NFL 2K series always made you feel like every play was a huge deal, taking us through recaps of the best plays in our games and around the league at halftime. It made you feel like your big plays were larger than life and your bad ones were horrid and tended to teach you by your own mistakes.
Like Sunday broadcasts, you felt with ...
I believe the virtual reality headset could work if:
it uses remote play like the vita.
It is wireless and allows players to play away from their console, whether in a bedroom away from the living room or in a hotel room 1000 miles away.
It also has to wirelessly connect to the dual shock 4 controller
7.1 surround sound in the earphones. True Dolby Digital. You want to suspend disbelief, especially since players can move freely in the world, they al...
